View Full Version : My Absence
did y'all miss me..? =)
as some of you knew, i've been gone for a while, moving house, so my internet life has been suffering badly...
I didn't expect to be away this long so I didn't bother with broadcasting the fact i'd be away to everyone, just my Faction (who had a couple of weeks advance notice) and a few others...
so now i've moved, away from the country and back to the big city, so if i'm less chilled out in future than I was you know why..
its a good city, but its got a higher percentage of daft but serious head-the-balls than most places....
my internet connection is still a bit variable, so i'm still not playing the game atm (whoever killed my ship, don't for one second think you bested me, I was not at home...)
but i'll be around the board more often I hope, im sure you'll all be glad to hear...
and who voted down the EoCo story thread? sure it has suffered from lack of contributers, but instead of voting it down perhaps you should have added to it??
and now I find I miss Zarrock !! it really needs his or some other Navy's posts.....
*watches the tumbleweed commit suicide.......*
15 views, no posts...
sheeesh, some of you need to find out what the "post reply" buttons for ....
=)
tho I do have a bit of reading to do to catch up, nowhere near what it should be tho......

In fact I was thinking of sending you a message to ask where the H*LL are you! Anyway, I am glad you are back. So when is your story going to get finished. I have a secret for your story that very few people know about, and it happens near the end, but I am not going to tell unless your story progesses to that point. It happens right at the point when the Navy gets ticked off and decides to attack the MCA. It is funny as heck.
thx ppl, nice to feel missed.. =)
umm Captcoyote: I assume you mean when Navy attacked MAAS, yeah its not quite near that point yet, I was hoping Zarrock would come back like he said, or some ex-Navy carry on, but it looks like we'll have to continue without them...
ofc that means the Navy will be slandered, villified, and rubbished, but hey thats the propaganda of journalism for ya...
*goes back to hugging Daiz*

MAAS, MCA, ... I keep getting those two mixed up! Having never been in either faction they are both essentially the same to me. Let's see... The MCA wears pink tutus... What do the MAAS wear? I can't even remember their color any more. Man... the memory is always the second thing to go!

The MAAS wears pink tutus! I just remembered. HA! The MCA is still in this game. That is what reminded me. Man I really should take something for this alzheimers!

Yeah - like a double barreled something - that'll shift it
Actually I've already forgotten everything from game 2, excepy that I was green , and it was all over very quickly.
This has been the most interesting game so far IMHO
Damn you kudos, the Navy needed you :)
All our leaders were so cautious we lost the game :'(

You didn't loose. I still see you in there. Running away as far as I can tell... :) Whats the matter, too hot in the old MCA kitchen? You will find that it isn't any easier for TTW/OMAN to take us out than it was for Navy/Maas. :dark:  :dark:

I think that has already been proved.
The only difference is that navy had it easy, longshot was our's for the taking but we didnt take it :/

From my vantage point it is the MCA that is running. Trying the same tactic that the Navy tried to help prolong their death. You forget the saying: "If you run, you will only die tired." That is ok though, I like my prey to struggle. It makes the kill more satisfying. :dark:
while i am here:
i am back (more the less) too ^^
sup ppl :P

No it wasn't Celt. Navy and Maas TOGETHER did not have the ability or drive to do it. Simple as that.

Is it the right time line yet?
Have a nice day kudos :D
I hope your [omitted rule 3] still works. :eekblue:
1337: good to hear you're back m8, hows it going etc?
and get spamming ffs !! gimme something to do... =)
the-hawk: no wonder you delete your posts in hindsight, if thats the best you can do.....
flaming? that ain't even tinder, and its wet......
anyone can post in the story thread - last month you just posted completely out of the story's timeline and theme, taking no notice of other contributers - not adding any of their ingredients into your concoction - making something that stood out as not belonging with everything else in the thread, it wasn't a contribution it was an attempted hostile takeover....
how did it begin? something like " I am the eyes of EoC, so far the posters in this thread have been mostly incorrect..." etc
and then you told about Navy vs MAAS as if thats all that happened in r2....
try and play with us if you "contribute" again, seriously, its more fun if you allow your ideas to grow from bouncing of other ppls efforts...

Is this an attempt to help the idiot of EoCo see the error of his ways?
"no wonder you delete your posts in hindsight, if thats the best you can do"
I only deleted 2 and you ordered me to delete the first one and you quoted and critised every line of the 2nd one which I am not going satisfy you by trying to defend.
"try and play with us if you "contribute" again, seriously"
I sense sarcasm here as if you wouldn't consider anything I wrote a "contribution" to anything else.

1)Maas collapsed before they could try
2)At one stage there were about 20-30 MCA ships in Longshot with 40-50 navy in BW with the nav being better ranked.
When I jumped in, it took 2 turns for your whole fleet to kill me = 1 person.
If Navy had of jumped then like i asked, Longshot would have been ours without a doubt.

For some reason Celt I don't remember this request but I consider this botched attempt at a seige the biggest mistake the Navy (The ANC) ever made. Not the fact that we didn't finish the job we started (how many shots did their base take?) but that we fought them in the first place. I think Solarian would have gone with an alliance, before we declared war. I don't blame him for not after. But either way we definately blew it when we didn't jump liked you asked, I don't remember why except that the lack of online pilots from both Navy and Maas caused the retreat. :sour:

I rember that day.. I think we failed because by the time the maas arived our ships had been damged so we jumped out for repairs...so the anc and maas never really attacked the mca base together..

You were just rubbish! No point waffling about it - at the key points Navy behaved like a jelly under hot water...
You don't mind if I strangle your cute little kitten for an encore, do you?
