In case nobody noticed, this game is points based, and the MCA are winning...and will win. The Oman can't catch them now!
Points mean ****, because they are cumulative. If only current points were counted, then they would have a meaning. The weakest faction wins if you look at total points because lower levels get more points then higher levels for shooting the same target.
BTW, Oman will win.
Yeah! theplayer points have no Affect on who wins or loses infact in my experience Higher points usually indicate a weaker faction e.g. League where at the top of the board when they died, so where maas, Navy and TTW.
Being at the top of the board is kinda like being marked for death.

Excouse me, but TTW were in fact number 3 when they died...
Oman will win!!! :D
Hey Kristof, still playing the game? :)
Still playing but not very active. Got some other things on my mind lately.

I'm not sure, but I think it's dust
I'm going to turn you into dust if I see you.
Be afraid, be very afraid.
:dark:
ThePlayer: I'm afraid that you're mistaken... points are irrelevent... otherwise the TW would have won last round, whereas they declared it a draw... despite the TW having the last base and having the highest score...
I think that it is down to whoever has the highest number of pilots in the game - most likely, whoever has the last HQ will get it, but that isn't necessarily the case, as we saw last game.

BFalcon, I have heard you say this before, I am still trying to figure out what you are talking about. WHO declared it a draw? The Third Way won.
Actually I think nobody won the game. It didn't have any explicit ending condition and thus in the end people couldn't log into the game because server was unable to decide which faction dead pilots belonged to. IMO the game suffered from a design flaw and thus there is no explicit winner unless we agree by mutual agreement that TTW won. In this turn this is hopefully fixed and the game hopefully declares the victors. If not, then it's goes once again arguing who's going to win. The faction with the most score, or the faction with the last base standing. And what if the game ends when the second last base is destroyed and then the faction with the most score will win, that would mean that the faction who lost the base will win the game since defending faction always gets more points than the one who's attacking. That's the way this game works. So before anyone declares any winners we just have to see how the ending condition is coded into this game (if there is such a condition)
The only reason the game didnt end properly last time was because wingee was on a skeing holiday somewhere. It was not a design flauw it was more of a safe measure to stop some hacker activating the victory condition and thus ending the round.

I've got to give you credit. That is a great pick there Zrbyte!
In the game history... "With the cluster government fragmented and ineffective, six factions compete with each other for control over the entire cluster."
I understand this as the faction that is last standing (king of the hill game) points don't mean anything since atari stopped making games. As to last game.. No there was a long delay in the reset of the game... Wich proved that no one won! Yes i was TTW, and would like to brag that we had the last HQ standing, but we were powerless to stop fractured factions from letting us have "control over the entire cluster."
Hence why some call it a draw. I just beleive it was a wounderfly done job by the FCs giving credit to BFalcon and the original Rogger Rabbit (I hope i spelled his name right) for keeping us out of the path of the big boys. But we had not become powerful enought to stop the attack.
The game changed.. and the MCA and the Oman will start the cats game...

The mail I (and I assume others who subscribe to the EoCO newsletter) received said it was... it was the only official word *I* saw...
:: quote::The sudden destruction of all 6 HQ's have left many wondering if there really was a clear winner in this war.::quote::
I know it also acknowledged the fact that the TW HQ was the last to go, but they left it pretty ambiguous... :(
Personally, I like to think the TW won... purely because I was one of the two FC's there last round... :)
Edit: OK, upon reading it again... I think we DID win!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!! :)
I'd go and celebrate, but the FC's getting onto me for not being active enough... so I gotta go.

Thanks Wendy... (high-fives Roger).
I personally see only one interpretation of the definition of game: Last Base surviving... since the designers included no safeguards against all bases being destroyed... and points mean absolutely nothing except who has had the most low-level ships... since they gain score most.
Now if that score was the total CURRENT score of the faction, it would mean something.

All the votes seem to be going MCA way, because they are on the offensive atm.
Personally, I think Oman are gonna take it.
I could be biased, since I'm a Tango, but it's going to be a close run thing either way.

I dont think MCA are doing a lot of fleeing at the minute, mate. :(
And its still not really just Oman :bounce: vs MCA :wierdblu:, cos the remnants of TTW  are still after us.
Still, I firmly believe the Oman will win this round. After all, they've got me. And Warspite, obviously. But he doesnt really count, 'cos he flies a skateboard. :lolblue:
