Gentlemen,
As the last acting FC of The Alliance Navy in G3, I want to welcome you back to build again what was the beginning of a great empire whether I am there or not.
This is not a campaign for the FC here and we don't know what changes you have gone thru as Omans or MCA but some feel that it time to start getting some feed back from you before this game is officially over.
So Admrials you know who you are report in and inform us of your sit. please .New recruits we welcome any comments , And anyone else who may dislike us and the Navy we will welcome your remarks as well.

Hello Hawk, Thank you for the strange invitation I received within the game. In response let me say: No I am not (still) upset with you. In fact, if anything I thought you were upset with me. Capt_Kirk told me everything that Spektyr was saying about me, and I finally gave up and left. It is good to know that you still think well of me. I have always thought well of you.
As for game 4: I will not be playing. At the very most I hope to keep in touch through the bulletin board for a while. However I have promised my wife to concentrate a lot more on more important matter in real life (RL), e.g., like buying us a home. I have made myself a promise to not touch this game again until we have moved into a permanent residence. At this point in time I have no clue how long that will take, but I have enjoyed myself here and hope to be back eventually. I sincerely doubt that I will be able to play any of game 4.
As for the debate on whether or not we should choose the faction we wish to participate in, I see no real problem with that (as I have stated on other threads). However I have accepted my randomly assigned sector up to this point, and I would think that I would do the same again in the future. If anything I would think that this would ultimately make for stronger factions. If you have ALL of your friends selecting a certain faction, then who would you make alliances with? Not only that, but if everyone else in the game feels that the Navy is preselecting its members, wouldn't they feel predesposed to ally themselves against you?
Finally I have to say that even though I really enjoyed myself with the Black Sheep squadron, I think Silent Frog is also getting weary of this game. I have barely heard from him. Now I am with the Bloody Angels in the Oman, and that has been another pleasureable experience. All in all, except for the dealings I had with Spektyr, I would say that I have really enjoyed myself in this game. I am almost sad to see it coming to a close.

Oh by the way, I finally killed solarian. I realize that it is about 400 turns too late. But I wanted to report in to you to say that he has been killed off by my hand (with a little help from Kristoff). Your humble but fumbling assasin.

The Alliance Navy it's only after they are destroyed that I get sent to a different faction.
I thought this was normal but what you are saying is that I might be Pink as in The Maas Corperation ?
or Green Like the Third Way ?
3 out of 3 games I type in my name then my pass word and it says you have been selected by the Navy.
in G1 the Navy was killed first I deleted (mistake) G2 well no one knows what happened there but I was Navy. G3 it was obvious and you are telling me that I was randomly selected to be Navy 3 games in a row??? Now that blows me down .....
the hawk, still as pompous and stupid as ever, u know as well as anyone wat rules there r and whether they can be broken, u also know that u never made a selection as to which faction u were in, did u think that through sheer thought power alone u started in the navy, i say all the cretins and losers may go with the hawk for it gives us somewhere to vent our frustrations and ridicule when they die yet again!

@ The-Hawk, Zarrock is returning next game, with the DS, I think. Many of them, like WildBill, etc, still check their private messages.

a born leader??? You had the mca cornered inside their own HQ and yet were still beaten back, he misused his power, freely admitted he had dealings with multies and implied he was willing to use them to his own ends, he never even ran the navy but had his own cronies do the work for him, certain people within the navy were good players, capt coyote for 1, and some others that i cant remember, but the hawk wasnt, he was inactive and had no actual skill other than a few die hard idiots that served him, im not being pompous im stating a fact that many others share, is he scared of joining a different faction because he wont have any actual power if all his friends dont vote for him as others can see the true amount of flaws in his personality and lack of ability to play this game to its highest degree
and i never insulted you player, though i have done before this doesnt concern you if the hawk is incapable of defending himself and needs you to do it for him it shows something about him doesnt it
It may well be that The Hawk might have been placed randomly in the Navy three times in a row, but if I see both him and those that follow him in that faction next game, he should be reported to the admins as having abused a game function.
Player: Find something better to do then defend The Hawk. He asked for criticisms, and he got them. Hawk is a good speaker, he doesn't need you to defend him.
Hawk: You know the rules. Why do you continuously break them?

To Avenge this is your purpose. Thank you for speaking the truth I never made a selection as to which faction I was in, you are right. It was made for me by the machine . I guess if it thinks of me as Navy so be it.
As for your Vengefull nature I hope that you get chosen for the Navy again and can witness for yourself how wrong you truly are. I did nothing but try to help you .....You even started yelling at me for ignoring you before you even looked at the promotions list to see if you were on it ,which you were.
Then because I allowed my people a majority vote as to which faction to attack that was against what you wanted I was the object of your vengence again.
You my friend are welcome to challange me any time and anyplace, one on one, to see who has the skill and knowledge of the game at his fingertips.

There is a procedure in the United States of America that places the accoused in innocence until proven guilty. The Navy I ran in G3 used the same methods with it's pilots rewarding those that showed their skills improving, giving promotions to those whose online times improved and my talks with my pilots were always positive simple and incouraging. I designed a chain of command that went beyond what the game offers that had more room for promotions and deligated authority properly so that there was always someone in charge and online to give my orders. This is how it works in the real Navy and armed forces throughout the Free Nations of this earth we all share. These people who you claim are defending me are not defending me they are defending the Navy I created and it's command structure. We were all newbees and did what we thought best to do and it worked.
For those of you who want to call a loyal following of people cronies I pity you for you have no insight you think from a gutter of common people who detest any thing that has authority. The MCA was a good faction for those thinkers because they had no leaders and no command structure and lost because of it.
I may not be Navy next game .I may not even play next game as it appears that everyone is jealous for the one person in this game that has the forsight to see how people feel before he commits himself......Know this people no matter what faction I am in I will have a following because it is in my nature to cultivate one they are loyal and feel that they must defend me as I feel I must defend them. You prove to me I have broken the rules and I will gladly delete myself never to return. But until then you had better start watching your back I don't take kindly to false accusations.

Samurai, you criticise the leadership of the navy quite a lot and yet you left the faction quite early on. Therefore I do not understand how you can criticise it so much since you were not there to see it in action.
IMO the Navy organization worked the best I've seen in any faction ever. Now that I've been in oman, I've never been sure who the faction leaders are and who we should listen for orders. In the navy there weren't any of that. The command structure was clear and simple. Just because the leadership doesn't act upon all suggestion that come to us, doesn't mean that we are ignoring the person who sent them or disrespect him. Majority rules and if suggestion sent to command staff isn't regarded as viable suggestion at the time, then it is ignored. If the suggestion is a goodone, then it'll be followed. If you want total democracy in this kind of game, then there should be voting option but since there isn't, somebody has to do the decisions and often there is no time to do any large debates and such.
It should tell you something about The-Hawks leadership that he was our FC the entire time the navy was alive. Sure thing he was re-elected to his job a couple of times, but there were not any better candidates to take the job so he got elected.
Also I didn't see any postings that showed disrespect towards the leadership. If people just change their vote from yes to no without telling why they're doing it, then it's pretty damn hard to know, what's wrong not mentioning doing something about it. Unfortunatelly lots of people in this game are like that. They just switch their vote to no without complaining one bit anyone who could make any difference. Sending a message to your friend and complaining about something doesn't help one bit unless your friend is the FC.

I never said I was an amazing anything (except maybe idiot)and of course the MCA were happier I'd be happier sitting at home watching TV with no one to order me around too. Your only leader was an FC that only gave orders cause he had to do something.But just for the books I only had 2 out of 109 people that weren't happy with me and you were one of them.

was done by a majority vote. If I was a dictator I would have never attacked them and you can ask Solarian that was not my choice.
AND FURTHERMORE I didn't even want to be FC , Sheldon turned it down and I was the default choice I didn't own squat for votes I even told everyone I wasn't any good , Or maybe you never heard about my even bigger mistake with the Oman in G1.

I've gained alot of respect for the_hawk and want to talk to him about a few things in regards to game strategies, command structure and the like.. if he'd allow me to email him that is?
btw.. nothing I will email him would be considered oogcomms.

I never understood the bad thing about having spare time.
Don't most people complain about the complete lack of extra time? Is it then that when people complain that someone has "too much spare time on their hands" that they're jealous of that person?

What did I do to you or say to you to be so deserving of your contempt in the first place? silence for what seemed an eternity , then "You heard the FC's orders if they go to Liberty we go to Dagda Prime and if you don't move it they will beat us back there"A static crackle of the comms was getting worse as the officers starred at the FC who mearly upturned his hands in a gesture of not quite sure about their cybernetic friend's intention."Where are you ?" asks WildBill . "I'm with Spartus and Bad Barbie in the Frost heading for Gravedigger and not stopping till the Maas pay for their trechery!"At this the Warden grabs the mike from Bill to speak into it, "We're with you Hawk just need one more for repairs" Throws the mike back to Bill who was no longer reclined and faced the FC and with his right hand did what none of the officers even think to do since their promotions and saluted their Chief.
"They were your orders, sir!"
Suddenly the room was a buzz of activity as each officer began to summon pilots into action and step up the repairs and against every one's wishes the Flag Ship of the FC is fired up and prepaired for it's final journey.

I began to get support from people I didn't even know and got encouraging results from my experimental command structure and I began to feel good about having accepted the position which in turn increased my online time and how seriously my approach was.
You would not have thought I was the same dude you left behind if you would have been a part of it a week after I came back from the Hospital. That was a learning experience I wouldn't trade for anything. The Navy grew and learned and became a close knit family that worked well as a team,
I even tried to get an alliance with the MCA after the League went down (to fix my mistake) and they laughed in my face.
I think everyone makes mistakes and you saw only the start where the biggest ones were made but we had alot of fun after that. I'm sorry this made you feel the way you do towards me. But remember this , I have to live with those mistakes you don't .
Dueling PBC's in the Frost turn 3 ? or should we wait and see if we end up in the same faction or not first?

Big Z, my mentor and able old commander, welcome back, I hope to be able to fight by you once more.
@ Tekno, your *** is mine. The challenge has been made. Enough of the sarcasm - just because I said i can lead better than you. Well, I learned from the best - Zaza and The-Hawk are the best 2 leaders I have ever seen and served under. They taught me how to do it.
@ Samurai, I will continue to defend The-Hawk because, nobody has shown me how to lead better. Take the farce that was the 3Way leadership when I arrived, for example. The CoW were usurping the FC, for goodness' sake! The-Hawk gave people authority, and yes other people did run squads, but he maintained overall command all the time.

ah the suspense of not knowing who's going to be in your Faction for the next few months, new friends to meet, old friends to frag - I truly enjoy the anticipation! i'd play with any of you.. but then fighting you or flying with you ... it's all the same to me, it's still playing... =)
