Spain 12 - Malta 1, do you mean that match Whitewolf?
Spain needed to win by 11 goals to qualify for final round, and made it! Is something like historical achivement here in Spain.
Anyway that is not the record for sure. The record has been stablished this year by Australia agains I-do-not-know-what-asian-team by nearly 40 goals if my memory doesn't fail me
What ?
My god ! I never heard of that !
WingCommander

sure, they scored a goal nearly every 2 minutes. the other team was Siam or Laos or other team of that zone I think

I think it's that match,Wingcommander.Not too sure.
And here's something else.17-0,Iran won against the Maldives in a World Cup qualifying match in 1997.

The biggest recorded win in club football was in Scotland. Rangers 34 - 0 East Fife
And the highest ever scoring game in history was also in Scotland
Aberdeen 22 - 31 Dunfermline
:)

I found it, here is the biggest winning difference in history of national team competitions:
La selección australiana batió a Samoa, por 31-0, superando el récord que ya tenía de goles en partido internacional. Archie Thompson consiguió superar otra marca: 13 goles en el mismo partido
Translation:
Australian national team won against Samoa by 31-0, improving their prevoius most goals record. Archi Thompson also achived another record: scored 13 goals in a single game
Their previous record was established earlier in the very same year (2001) and was 22-0

How we plan to enter the world cup?
Well.......I'd say EXTREME LUCK.
Not that I'm looking down at my country's team or anything, but I think we aren't professional enough.
And,we got trashed by Manchester United during an exhibition match once.

Too frelling right!
They played better that Germany most of the way through... Germany had about 3 attacks that looked dangerous in the whole game...

I think that if they had pushed up more and had more players in the Box some of those Brilaint Crosses might have gone in and it could have been 5 : 1 just like another match Gremany played :)
Ireland 1 Germany 1
GO IRELAND

true... they played well... not bad at all for a team from a country of 5 million ppl... who just lost their Top Player-Captain 'cos "their organisation/training ground/Manager etc wasn't up to Man U standards..."
still.. i'll be supporting Germany in their next match... =)

Please God, let Cameroon beat Germany, and let Ireland beat Saudi arabia 9-0. Cheers.
And I must say, I think that a team that qualified AHEAD of Germany, ie , ENGLAND, should not have to fight their way through REAL football teams, whilst Germany get to mess about the footballing minnows  No fair

Well who do you dislike LEAST of your "neighbours" teams?
I was shouting my head off for Ireland this afternoon, but I would have done the same for any British team. If I was from Asia, who would I shout for out of Japan, China and S.Korea?

No rivalry with Portugal, they are just not at our level
Our rivalry goes with France, as you might have seen in the latest "friendly" match they played...

Bah, you Brazilians have an easy group
Same with the Spaniards. :madred:
Mind you, we only need a draw against Nigeria to get through. Also, if Sweden can get a draw against the Argies, then the Argies are going home early!
The only Brasilian member I know is Rivaldo....I am such bad in football....YUK ! :bigeye:
