help me (discworld noir)

hi there i just brought this game called discworld noir. its made by infogrames and perfect. im stuck can anyone tell me where there is a guide for this game and where? many thanks people

:confused: I too am stuck in a 1950's hell of obscure clues and sarky comments! I in act 2 been arrested Malachite has died and everyone keeps asking me about the sword and jewel and stuff. Where do I hide Ilsa? Where is Carlotta? What do I do next??? And why doesn't anyone say thankyou? Send you off for a sword, ask you to hide them form assassins but not a single word of gratitude :madred: And when is someone going to remove the dwarf's body form the bridge? It's beginning to smell!

Any help gratefully accepted :) Please don't tell me to use the help line as it isn't very helpful!!(the line that is ;) )

cant seem to get the hook off malakite or find thelmas body in thr morgue have spoken to everyone in the game. :madred:

I am trying to remember how you get the hook, my mind seems to want to blank it out like a bad memory! ;)
Right, you've found the hook and Malachite wants Thelma. Has the Octerine Parrot turned up yet? If so speak to first the bar tender then Sapphire. Ask both about Thelma. Saphirre should mention something about Madame Loadstone and her being buried in the Mauseleum. If you go there you won't be able to find your way round you'll have to go to the Mansion and talk to Carlotta. After the sarky butler speaks to you you should be able to look about the house a bit. There is a book on the peerage on a table. You have to ask Carlotta about the peerage etc. (I know this sounds confused and it is, I can't fully remember what I did to be honest :confused: My tip is to ask everyone everything and eventually someone will know)
Carlotta takes you to Madame Loadstone's tomb. Go to Rodin's and tell Malachite you've found the grave of Thelma, he'll then come with you to take the lid off the tomb. It's not Thelma but you can get a diamond tooth from the body - nice! Not sure what it's for yet but I'm sure it'll come in handy eventually.
You can then use the grapple to get into Pier 5. When the little dwarf man (can't remember his name but he appears later, it's not Al Khali) drives off the bridge, (you'll find this out if you ask nobby about a speading carriage) you can use the grapple and Malachite to pull the carriage out of the Ankh.
Actually before you can do that I think you have to take the red rag you find at the crash site to Uberwold and ask about it. Anyway, Malachite nicks the box found and runs off with it (not yet found it again) Use the photo on the dwarfs body and you'll get the key to the safety deposit box in the casino.
:confused: :confused: I know that al this sounds very confused but it makes more sense as you get to the bits that are relevant! Honest. I hope this helps and if you want anymore help give me a yell. And if you ***** this darn game tell me and I'll be your best friend!!! :grngrin:

:D I'm back, having re-read what Iwrote I realise that it's of no help whatsoever, so I went back and started the game from scratch so I could write things down properly.
I'm assuming you have Pier Five now. Did you get the invite off the office floor? If not go back to Lewton's office and on the floor by the door is an invite from Carlotta to the Mansion. Then go to the Masion and give the invite to the sarky butler, when he goes to get Carlotta look at the book on the table and the picture, this will bring Carlotta to talk to you. She's not saying anything helpfull at the mo but you have to do it, then you have to talk to an old bloke in a wheel chair about stuff and this should bring up Regin (or something like that) Talk to the butler about him and that should give you more clues. (All this is not much help in getting the grapple but will help later on)
Go to the Octerine Palace and talk to Mankin First about everything, including notebook stuff, some won't help but others will add more clues, then talk to Sapphire about everything inc. notebook. This should give you the Madame Loadstone clue and Rodan's workshop, which you already know *d'oh* ;)
Now go to Psuedopolis yard (and excuse spelling mistakes) and ask Nobby about Madame Loadstone. This will give you the Mauseleum. Go there and adn hit the tombs. (You won't be able to do anything but you still have to do this)
Go back to the Mansion and give invite to butler again.(At this point it's a real shame there's not a hit option of you can't pummell him with the crowbar but there you go)
Talk to Carlotta about Mauseleum that will take you to the tomb of madame Loadstone.
Go back to Rodan's, tell Malachite about tomb and then you'll get there, he'll open the grave and eventually give you the grapple. Don't forget to rob the grave of a tooth.
This will also give you the Sapphire lied clue and if you go back to the Parrot and quiz her on it you should get the Casino appear on the map.
