Well, we didn't really want to win anyway...

Look at the bright side – better to lose to Brazil than to go through and lose to Senegal or South Korea or whoever... :rollani:

I'm glad I'm South Korean - I would hate MY team to be as useless as England were this morning. At least Korea MAKE AN EFFORT TO WIN :rollani:

....oh, GONADS

Still, I'm still glad I'm not French or Argentinian....

A real shame Darius didn't make more of a mark though, thought he might have been played from half time, not just for the last 12 mins..

There was a cool bonus game in the third episode, where you play one of the mercenaries, and have to race against the clock to complete an objective, before Umbrella set off a bomb in your head - is that on the PC version? :bounce:

Well, I haven't started it yet, but when I completed the game a screen came up and said I had the option to play again as a policeman in that special group (can't remember the name) that Chris Redfield was in... except he'd been turned into a zombie.

Remember there was a locked cabinet in the darkroom that needed 'a special key'? I wondered why I couldn't find it as either Leon of Claire. Apparently I have to find it now as this new character...

Still different to what you get on the Playstation version.

On the PS, you just have to guess how to find Brad.

If you havent done it yet, on the PS version you have to get to the police station without shooting anything.

The key for the locker is then on Brad's twitching body. Careful though, he's a bugger to kill with just a pistol if you get your range wrong.

ARGH MINOS !!!!!! I GOT THE SAME !!!!!! YOU CANNOT PLAY A ZOMBIE !!!! ARGH !

You have to go through the whole city to that police station and there is a tunnel outside...in that unnel-like on the pic - there is Barry as a zombie...when you kill him you get that key ...you can use that key in the S.T.A.R.S. -office with a wardrobe...you get new clothes , a kind of gatling and a bag so you can put more things into your inventory...

All right!

A man goes to the doctor and, blushing somewhat, explains to the pretty receptionist that his problem is that he has a massive and permanent erection (For any kids reading this: We're talking about the Eiffel Tower here, OK?).

The receptionist smiles warmly and says "Well, the doctor is rather busy at the moment, but I'll see if I can fit you in..."That was in the Keele University rag mag about 25 years ago, so it must be the product of some of the greatest minds in the country. It unbalances our sense of the Proper Order of Things. I can remember how shocked I was when I first overheard a conversation between some of my mates' girlfriends. It was a sort of metaphorical loss of virginity. I've never been quite the same since.Originally posted by tenebra

The 'End User', eh? Yup, I think we can accept Understudy as being a Risque, Unchaste, Debauched Elite member...

As for the failsafe – don't worry, as in Blade Runner, I built in one of those. But I'm not going to tell anyone what it is. Simply that it will render Diablo completely impotent, should anything worrying arise.

After four years (or in an emergency, by activation of a built-in microchip), he will revert to the 'failsafe' mode – a normal, average person! Dull, predictable and utterly lacking in imagination, spontaneity or sexual attractiveness. The type who ends up in one of the professional classes, such as a lawyer.

You'll see...

The stinkhorn fungi, including the above phallus impudicus (Common Stinkhorn) are variously called the devil's eggs, huevo del diablo, uovo del diavolo, oeuf du diable etc. The eggs are said to be an aphrodisiac. Perhaps this is what Diablo meant?

To a tired old cynic like me, my first thought is, is the story true at all? My second thought is, if the story is true, where did the rumour that the drug is an aphrodisiac start? With someone who has a commercial interest in its sale, perhaps? :rollani:

Is it a sin to covet your neighbour's a.s.s?

(I don't believe it – that three-letter word falls foul of the automatic censor. Was the software for this forum written in the US?)

*Remembers the days back on the North American forum, discussing the problems that arise out of differences in US and UK English.*

I seem to remember in the original conversation, I used the example "He mounted the other man's a.s.s." to illustrate how a sentence, already best avoided in the UK, could be even worse in the US.

JBlack didn't think it was very funny, I remember that much.

Minos

It depends in what sense of the word funny you mean – as I've said before, I still can't weigh up whether he was all he said he was.

BTW 2Potscreama, I don't think JBlack (Justin Black) and JetBlack are the same person. I certainly hope not anyway. JBlack said he came from Salt Lake City, and was the CEO of a major US trucking company, ran a web design agency, had a private jet at his disposal and a huge income. He said it several times. I think he managed to annoy everyone, yet was completely oblivious to irony (Tenebra) or even outright insult (Diablo). I pride myself on my tolerance towards pompous little pricks, but I saw enough of JBlack on the US forum to last me for a lifetime.

I'll just have a little lie down now, nurse...
