A journalist wrote in a paper here that the world cup may be planned to make Brazil win. All teams forgetting Brazil and Host Teams as Korea had bad referee actions against them. It is normal with host teams, and usually with Brazil too, but starting from Rivaldo's theater action against Trukey, brazil has got more than good support from Referee. However, I am one of those who think the referee, even if he is against you, cannot make you lose the game if you do your job properly. That is what happened to Italy against Korea. Of course the referee's action helped Korea, but Italy's lost was their own fault. They scored early and then did what they always do, forget football and get on full defence. If they wanted they could have reach half-time with 3 - 0 for them, but not, that would have meant playing properly. They replaced their talented players for brawlers and got what they did deserve, total humiliation by Korea, who never lost the faith in winning, and most important, played football.

One thing about having a German mother – when England go out of a World Cup (or Euroean Cup etc) I can switch over and start rooting for Germany... :tup:
