View Full Version : A serious request for HARDWIRE and STAFF...

I think that there is a minor/major problem here in the forum or in general....

There are a lot of people that sign in with famous names or something else but never been ever online or they never posted something....

They only annoy everbody cause they use these names and prevent others who are online and post something touse these names....

Is there a possibility of preventing such annoying behaviour ? There are a lot of servers who delete accounts automatically after 3 months when the user doesnīt login in within that time...

We should do it here as well..cause nearly 30 % of all users never really been online...

Btw: It would be fine if someone could set up the possibility to delete our accounts for ourselves without requesting mods or admins...

Nah. I had this out with the admins over the number of inactive EOCO accounts too.

It's a pain in the butt, but I dont think it's worth time or effort to look at.

...I agree. More to the point I agree about the deleting of our own accounts. On other user groups like the Yahoo ones you can simply 'unregister' at the click of a button – it seems absurd that you have to get special dispensation to do so on these forums. :bigeye:

If there's a good reason for it, fair enough, but I'd like to know what it is. :wierdblu:

I am not sure if our version can be set up to even allow this.
I would say if you wanted a name that someone else has, then please let us know and we can look into it. If the account has been unused then we can think about deleting the account and allowing someone else to you it.
