I know this is an old game anyone out their that has cluedo fatal illusion try as i might i cannot get in the closed room that has the combination lock . I have solved the answer used the hint but it still will not open pls help anyone how do you get in the god damn room. :confused:

Haven't played the game myself but I noticed someone else had a similar problem, posted on a thread in the Off-Topic forum:

It seems to be a matter of keeping on trying – I remember something similar in the game Lighthouse where, though I was sure I'd found the combination, I couldn't get it to work. In that case I eventually found you had to start by spinning the lock a few times anticlockwise before starting – heaven knows how you were supposed to know that. There may be something of the same sort required here.

I had trouble with the lock too. the screen froze a few times. all of a sudden it just happened. sorry no easy pointer how it did. you do know how to go round?? if so that is all can say. I am stuck myself in chateau. good luck bette

:confused: Hi tks for the advice i have tried this clockwise to 31 anticlockwise going past 12 the firsttime and past 31 stopping at 12 the second time and then clockwise to 38. Have tied some 50 odd times and it will still not open it is driving me mad. any advice you can offer will make me a happy hector. rgds tigerlilly

Hi, You have the right things to do. only wish I could give you solution. I was same. sometimes the mouse seems to jerk no matter how hard you try. It was quite a while before I got in. cud have wept with joy.I have been trying for days to get something to move correctly and feel like throwing the disk in the bin. Let me know how you get on.
