Working hard to finish off some **** to finish early- sunshine - go to pub -e-mail can be fixed NEXT week....:D

2potscreama
17-04-2003, 14:40
Or in my case, the phone system can be fixed next week.

I'm trying to get 3 ancient PCs rebuilt right now and I really cant be arsed.

When that clock hits 4, I'm gone. It's not like anyone even needs them until next week.

Actually, I may just forget to fix the phones altogether. Less support calls that way.

I went to the Saatchi gallery last night...after seeing Damien Hirst's stuff suddenly the words "sheep", "cow" and "pig" affect my stomach somehow:rolleyes:

Simon, don't you think goats are more attractive than sheep?

WOW! I saw a feature on that in a magazine the other day. Im really wanting to go to that. Despite the sheep and the cows head was it good?

tenebra_uk
20-04-2003, 21:00
Apart from the cow, sheep, pig, flies, mice and rats it's brilliant, well worth it, I'll definitely go there again;)

2Pots, no need to compete, I guess that apart from the gallery we spent the night more or less in the same way (though I could buy drinks till 2am:D )

Everyone except us 2 saddos by the look of it - of all the things in the world to get stuck on, we choose a BB that doesn't even work.

I think I'll go out and scuttle myself...

I had to attend 'new deal' which is kinda like the "job-club" on league of gentlemen.

Imagine the scene:

one really drugged up bloke, one really stupid looking bloke mid 30's, 2 big fat deprived council estate kids who steal cars for a living and a patronising ex- army officer telling us about team building.

we had to "build trust" by handcuffing ourselves with rope with another person and then trying to become untangled, this apparently was a trust and communication excersise.
The other was random placed items on the floor which were "bombs, or mines" and you were blindfolded and the others had to guide you through the mines by shouting at you, akin to a **** saturday afternoon gameshow.
all a bit bondage really......either that or training us up for another iraq clearout.

We're all qaurantined with the SARS virus - I have a gas mask on right now!!

*Actually, I have just found out that over 100 students from SARS infected areas have probably returned to campus this week, and I really am not very happy that I have to interact with the little darlings. I may have to opurchase one of those old Soviet space suits you sometimes see on e-bay! I'm not kidding! I'd rather overreact and look stupid than die!*

Ohmigod - you mean they unleashed SARS to get good advance sales for HalfLife 2? That is a tad cynical IMHO

On a lighter note, the Astronomer Royal in the Guardian today gives the Human race a 50/50 chance of surviving the century. So thats ok then:rolleyes:

I'm having a weird day, it's my first day back in the office since last Thursday and my brain is trying to juggle work stuff and the information I've had thrown at me at college...

I can't see the meta data in my company's home page and that's really annoying  I hate developers
