V-Rally 3

:madred: My V-Rally does not work on my PC. The ´game lets me to instal but does not allow to play the game. It just shows me one black box about a second and thats it. I have a windows Xp. Mabye that the problem but my friend computer has XP to and the game works. Pleas help me becaus I really want to play V-Rally 3:frownblue :frownblue

Same with me. Installed, got black box for 1 second, crash to desktop. Athlon system on WinXP, all updates, GeForce Fx5200 with latest drivers, 890 MByte RAM. Other Games run fine.

Same here, I have a Geforce 4 mx 440 8x, MSI board, P4 2.6, 512K. Recjon it's probably graphics driver issue, usually is. Currently tru=ying different versions of graphics driver to see if any work! Looks like usual rushed out console conversion, no testing done.

Got it working, it needs the latest 52.16 drivers from www.nvidia.com. There has been an updated version of 52.16 due to some problems with uk XP users apparently, so you may need the new download.

I get the same problem using win xp. I just installed the latest 52.16 nvidia drivers but that didn't help. However my PC at work can play the demo ok but not my pc at home. Both are using the same nvidia drivers? My graphics card at work though is a Geforce 4 ti 4800se whilst at home I have a 4600. Shouldn't make any difference though?

Come on Atari, what's up with the demo? Many players on other forums, Blackhole Motorsports and Usernet newsgroups for example, are having the same problems.

I couldn't get the demo to work, and took a gamble on the full game. Both seem to work fine since I upgraded the graphics drivers though. It's worth persevering though, great game.

Hi, anyone have problems with sudden car "frantic jumping" on tarmac ( france, germany) tracks ??
& bad ff on tarmac :(

or is it just me :confused: ... ?

I get the black box problem, plus a generic windows error message on XP with a Radeon 9700 Pro, Pentium 4 2.6 clocked to 3ghz, 512mb corsair DDR ram.
V-Rally 3 is a no go for me too, they could have taken a little more care when they shat out the code for this game.

We do know you are right on some points of your comments and
we are aware of the problems. To correct the mentioned
problems would certainly not be a minor task.

V-Rally 3 PC or im returning the game to the shop.

the eventual patch must at least fix :
- Car behaviour, sometimes the car jumps franticly on tarmac
for no reason

- tarmac forcefeedback spring forces, etc

Please also let me know when the patch will be due.

Im using a Logitec MOMO FF wheel, works fine with Rally
Masters, CMR2, Rally Trophy and others.
