Email notifications

I had these turned on at first, but have since decided that they are a waste of my time and bandwidth, so turned them off.

The only problem is that they still insist on coming...whats going on?!?

i've been getting them also, even though i have them switched off......

really annoying to have 100 new messages, cos i just delete them all, and miss out ones that were actually important....:(

Also, can't be bothered to make a new thread for this,
but i went away for 2 days, and the 'home' page has completely change it's layout.......why........it is really confusing me,
and all the names seem to be too close to the left side of the screen which is quite annoying......:rolleyesa

Fortunately I've got filters set up in my email client so that they get deleted from the server before I even download them...it's just annoying rather than a true pain, but still annoying none the less.
