I bought the game on release day on Friday 5th and having played the demo without any problems I gathered I would experiance no problems with the whole version.

Everything runs perfectly except the sound. The sound seems fine until about 20 seconds into a normal game where everything except the generic loop of the crowd goes. No ride sounds, no menu clicks, nothing. They were there for the first 20 seconds but then suddenly gone!

My PC is a top-spec machine with an ATI Radeon 9800XT 256mb graphics card and Creative Soundblaster Live! Sound Card and has had no problems with any other demanding games such as Doom III and Far Cry, along with the RCT3 demo.

Please help me out

Well to anyone that is actually bothered I have fixed my audio problem apparently by uninstalling the demo of RCT3 I had still installed on my system and have been playing blissfully for an hour with no problems whatsoever.

I too have just experienced problems with my sound, i'm running a realtek sound card with 5.1 surround, all seems to be reunning well after the patch except for the game sound. When i alter my options, i can have music at whatever sound levels i want, im fine to have the clicks and system sounds wherever i want but if i have game sound at any level .......
after about 5 mins the thingscreeches at me. i get a horrible scrastching/humming sound which scares the doo doo outa my cat! :P any ideas peeps? :weirdblue

Wow that sounds sucky. Well actually I found out that I haven't fixed my sound problems as the problem randomly comes back usually after starting a game for the first time.

For some stupid reason the all the sound effects except crowd ambiance loop just disappear after a minute. I close and start the game again and they're ok.

That ain't whatcha pay £34.99 for lol!

In response to your issue mate, I have onboard Realtek 5.1 Sound but I use my Soundblaster Live! simply because it's proven better. Any other games or applications giving you trouble? Probably not seem as though RCT3 is the worst bugged release ever

No, I didn't pay £34.99 I paid £27.99 but dude, without being too insulting I hope you don't believe I'm complaining as to what "I" individually paid. I'm talking about the price tag, the RRP a company believes is fair to release the game at for the quality you get.

Would you expect a groundbreaking game from an unknown company in the £4.99 section? No. Would you take it back? Probably not, it's a fiver nuts to it. But releasing a game at that price which not everyone can get discounted, but still at around 25 quid a pop with a discount is commercial robbery!

Right........let me get this straight......

You work in Game, where you bought RCT3............you took it home and found it was full of bugs and performance issues........so you came here to see if a patch was available or if anyone had the same problems and was able to work around them...........you have been, however, unsuccessful in finding a cure for your problem, but have managed to make us feel your anger and frustration...........but luckily, as you work in GAME, you are able to take it back and obtain a full refund.

So why dont you take it back?
