Hi All,
Been testing out different methods of solving my crashing to desktop issues since day one...and i have found one that works for me. I am running Windows XP, so this solution may help other XP users too.
While it seems so simple..it has worked for me. All i did was run the game using the Windows Program Compatibility Wizard, and used "Windows ME" setting. Game started fine, played fine and since doing this has not crashed once. If this works for you, be sure to set RTC3 to use this compatiblity mode everytime you play.
I hope it helps...no harm in trying :)

how do you do the comatibilty mode thing?? i will have a try at that...
Go To The Game Directory IE " C:\Program Files\Atari\RCT3\" And Right Click On The rct3.exe And Then On Compatibility Tab Then Click "RUN THIS IN COMPATIBLITY MODE FOR" Then Select ME In The Drop Down.
Hope You Can Follow That, Do Tend To Rabble On A Bit Sorry.

I don't have that option when I right click on the application file. I have something called anaylsis but that ain't it...

The compatability tab is under the properties option

You can also get to the compat. function by clicking "Start" -> "Programs" -> "Accessories", and look for Program Compatibility Wizard.
If you can get to this, you can follow the wizard and pick RCT3 as the program you want to use. Should be pretty straight forward..just follow the step by step in the Wizard.

Yeah Sorry I Wasn,t Clear Befor When You Right Click On "RCT3.exe" Click On Properties At The Bottom Of The Popup Window And Then Compatibility Tab.
Sorry For The Confusion.

Yeah, a bit confusing when you miss part of the route path out huh?
Well to anyone that is actually bothered I have fixed my audio problem apparently by uninstalling the demo of RCT3 I had still installed on my system and have been playing blissfully for an hour with no problems whatsoever.

Have you updated the drivers for your Radeon?
4.10's are the ones currently known to work well.
You can get them at www.ati.com
