Another crashing dilemma

Hi,

Can anyone give me some advice, got the game on Friday, looks excellent for the 10-20 mins it runs before crashing!!

I have updated my drivers from ATI & Creative for Graphics/ Audio, I have also tried the compatability change to ME & the damn thing still crashed, tried some of the changes that are recommended within the FAQ doc i.e. 800 x 600 etc was all going well in career mode for about 20 mins then crashed...

My system is

AMD Athlon 64 FX53
1024 mb memory
Radeon 256mb x800 xt graphics card
250 GB hard drive
ASUS ASV deluxe motherboard

as you can see good state of the art kit, I have not experienced any problems with any other games, but still having probs any advice??

Its obvious to me that your computer is too good for this game. ;) The best thing for you to do is to send it to me, and I will send you another, far lower specced machine to play on. I really dont mind taking it off your hands (anything to help :biggringr ), so send me a pm to say its ok....;) :tup:

I get the feeling youre not new to computers (far from it)

Do you get an error report when it crashes?
Are your sound card drivers up to date?

Hopefully it wont be too long before all these crashes are sorted with an offical patch....:bounce:

You know I tell u what out of the generosity of my heart, u give me your address and I'll even pay the courier costs!! As you thought not new to PC's at all.

Seem to have solved the problems now, had a problem with the graphics drivers they were not installing properly & every time the PC crashed they would uninstall.

Now It just freezes on screen after 40 mins, not every time and not the whole game just the ability to move around freely, the game just continues in the background, happy peeps and all that?? nut you cannot move the view out the square in front of u

I've never known such problems with a new game like this, been a gamer since knee high & played all formats at some point.....

Do we know if this patch that's for the US will make a europeon appearance??

This is what I found from David Braben

I'm not sure what the delay has been on the Euro Beta Update. I understand it should be up today or tomorrow - this is why I've not posted to the group.

This will be the same content as the US Beta Update, but additionally with language support. I will try and find out what the delay has been, and make sure it doesn't happen with the release of the full version of the update (which I currently expect will be next week).
