Hi
I've downloaded the new RCT3 and got a message saying "You graphics hardware or drivers do not meet the minimum requirements to run RCT3"

I'm guessing i need to buy something to upgrade my pc - but what? (did have a wander round PC World tonight - but not one box had "allows you to play RCT3" so i didnt make a purchase :(

Really appreciate any help - especially as the 'helpdesk' only works 9-5 mon-fri - do they think that none of us have a job!

thank you
Ashley

Ashley -

fgot to Start/Run and type "dxdiag".

This should give you a pretty comprehensive detailing of your hardware, and drivers.

You need Direct X9(and a Direct X 9 compatible graphics card) to play RCT3. If your machine is using a VGA chip that is on the motherboard rather than an expansion slot, that would probably be too weak .The good news is that you can at least get a newer card and use that instead of the horrible onboard thing. I think you need at least 64MB graphics, but these are pretty cheap these days
