I think this is the same problem as others are having the game plays fine then crashes for no apparent reason, I know my specs are fine.

It looks that most people have ATI radeon graphics cards who are having problems.
Has anyone else noticed the same

I'm going to try the running the exe in ME like some else suggested.

Let u know what happens

updating drivers is just the easy way of looking cool, if that all ur gunna say then dont say it at all. I just started having this problem, for the first 2 days that game ran like a dream, then boom, the game stops my speakers go pop, my screen flickers and the bloody thing restarts. I have change no settings, i left the graphic settings as it said when it first started up.

Updating drivers is complete **** I have the latest update for the ATI Radeon 9200 and it still screws up. This is the same problem loads of ATI users had with the Demo and now it is coming back for revenge. :madred:

ok, ignore my first post was in bad mood. I looked at www.ati.com and found that yet another driver has been released, installed it. Then change the compatability for the game to Windows98/ME. It took some time to start up and the game does pause for a few seconds every like 10 mins but I have played it for about and hour with no problems, even tried changing some graphic settings and it was fine. Try your self, this works fine now.

Well done thatman - although I just can't figure out why so many of you are having to run in compatibility mode. It is very inefficient, and should make the program managment MORE complicated:confused:

Do those of you running in compatibility mode share anything in common? Do you all have XP SP2 installed for example, something like that?

And another thing - if anyone gets an email notifying about this thread being updated, let me know STRAIGHT AWAY! Ta v. much

I posted a thread elsewhere on the whole crashing dilemma, tried all the advice..........u know the graphics drivers sorted the problem, although there are others to resolve....

The whole ME thing did not work at all for me, it fact it crashed quicker??
