View Full Version : Queuing Problems...

On the Release (UK) version, playing the career mode, level one:
On the Rollercoaster the entry queue gates don't open. Initally, this is OK, but as the game progresses the gates don't open. There are over 50 peeps waiting, the ride is functioning and rollercoaster carridges are going around.
Maintenance does not improve this - the ride is already functioning.
Paying the turnstile operator more does nothing
Bulldoozing the entry and rebuilding works FOR A SHORT TIME - then the gates stay closed and queues build with loss of revenue and unhappy peeps and a disappointed player.
This would appear to be a fairly major - and fundermental (!) software flaw (minor bugs I can excuse! - but not this!)
Anyone else having this problem?
Thoughts? Patch?

Hmm, I'm not sure if I've experianced this, but I was about to post a topic about the fact that after a few mins the guests don't enter for rides they just walk around and I lose a load of money, what gives? Why don't they try out any rides, from a selection of at least 6 usually.
In reply to yours, afraid I haven't yet had that particular problem... I think...

Yep I've had this problem. I ended up just deleting the coaster that it happened on. Seems Atari have released this game to quick as its full of bugs. The game dropped me to the desktop last night, half way through a park without saving.
So I will not play anymore until they release a patch.
Always knew Atari were ****, the release of this bug filled game proves it, they just wanted the cash. Sod the testing.

If it is a "common bug" it SHOULD have been found at beta and eradicated.
Given that a pivotal part of this game is ride management and queuing is an essential part of THAT, then the item is fundermentally flawed!
Therefore, the game is "not fit for purpose".
I hope the "patch" is comprehensive, and imminent - as I still have a low opinion of RCT games following the instillation difficulties associated with RCT2 - sloppy code is sloppy code!

I'm with you. This release of RCT3 is a complete joke. Frontier should compensate all it's customers who send them a copy of their receipt with a free copy of a re-released bug free title for giving us this grief
