Ok here is a more sensible post (I hope)

When I quit the game I have an error box saying that Autorun requires a file which is missing?

Any ideas of what's up

Any help appreciated

Sounds like a file was missed during the install, but dont quote me on that.

Does the game play allright otherwise?

You could always try a fresh install.......:frownblue , but if its playing ok anyway.........:lightbulb

So far it seems to run ok, so I suppose its best to leave alone for now, and if anything odd happens then I can always re-install.

Is it anything to worry about that a file was not installed?

Thanks very much

I dont think so......Aotorun is the program that enables the disk to be read when you insert it, prompting the splash screen.

If thats all thats missing then you ain't missimg much......;)

Oh that's good to know, thank you :)

I did after I replied earlier actually go and uninstall the game and have just re-installed it, and things are just the same, still if that's all the trouble is then I count myself lucky :)

Just out of curiousity would it be a good idea to install that beta patch? or is it best left alone.

Ahhhhhh....if only every thread was this easy going......

If the game runs ok without the patch I'd wait until the full version....:bounce:

Well thanks, I must say that this is a first in my book for being on a forum that has decent people around, so often I have been to forums and post and then find myself waiting for day's for a reply, only to get one maybe if I am lucky! even then some of the attitudes are disgusting, I can see me staying here and posting alot :)

I appreciate the nice comments and yes I don't see any point in moaning, I mean if the game irritates that much then just take it back and don't post about it, then again, I don't want to be accused of telling folk what to do :)

I do love this game though, and was pleased to have read in a games mag that the next RCT game was going 3D.

Cheeers

Hardtarget :)

Slightly off topic (sorry) but I also love flight sims in particular the IL2 games, and found the forums to be awful, no replies etc........and if your lucky maybe 1 and yet others had replies in the hundreds lol........still I guess that's my paranoia showing through  :)

Yeh i have been posting on this forum for a while now remember me fluxx?? :confusedb i had a hardware error until you told me to install the latest graphics drivers and now it runs like a sweet dream!! :D :D :D

One thing i would like to see on a patch is a playlist option for the rides so it can play a track after track insted of playing the same one over and over again, do u know if they will do this fluxx?

Hardtarget: nice to see a someone enjoying RCT3, maybe it was only us 2 who had no major problems :weirdblue

Hi Stevie G,

Yep its possible it was just us two without problems, the game runs great for me, despite the fact that I don't have an ATI card, I am with Nvidia and using their GeForce 4 Ti 4800SE 128MB DDR

One thing that I don't get and find rather confusing is the Signposts and how best to place them? I usually place a ride, and the entrance, then exit, and after the exit is placed I just build a path, but what I am kinda stuck with is that once the peeps have finished they exit and carry on their way, but I get confused about how to stop them going to the exit, I tried placing a No entry sign, and found that peeps all get stuck as they exit the ride, quite funny to see a mass of peeps just standing there!!! :lolblue: I then realised that the reason for them getting stuck was that the sign had no entry on both sides!

So I don't know how to actually stop peeps from going along the path to the exit of the ride? any ideas on how you lay your paths?

Cheers

Hey, Its amazing we are both using different graphics cards yet still no problems lol im using the Ati Radeon 9200 128mb and dispite all the problems people have had with this card runs great for me :D

About the paths and exits and stuff, well i can't really help you out there cuz i don't really place signs i just make a ride and connect the exit to the path nearest.. so i can't really help you out there any ideas fluxx??

:D

Note the 'two'......meaning hardtarget and you......:)

Dont know if different musics on the adgenda for the next patch, but I take it you know that you can import your own sounds into the game......:bounce:

Simply, just copy the selected music files that you want to be played in RCT3 by pasteing them to this directory: Desktop -> My Documents -> RCT3 -> Music. Then start the game up, and the new imported music files should be there. You can import wav, mp3, mid, and a few other file types into the folder.

I think the ride is only supposed to play music at the start.....in the case of coasters its only in the station.....:lightbulb

I assume that a rides music is intended to be its own particular theme, so changing it might not be top of the list in the next patch.......:frownblue

Edit: It took me so long to find out how to import music that you both posted.......:lolblue:

Yes Stevie G I know what you mean, weird huh? :lolblue:

Also strange that as the game installs it say's this game is best played with ATI Cards, and yet so many people excluding you have problems with that card, my guess its possibly driver related, funny I have this incredible knack for stating the obvious! :rolleyesa :lolblue:

No problem about the paths mate, I'll get it sorted, a little time spent with the manual might be in order :)

And what do these peeps want, Jam on it!! how dare they criticise my choice of music for the rides! :lolblue:

So what if I want to play "All that Jazz" on Dodgems 1!!! :lolblue: :D

No seriously, just jokin (not) :)
