Sandbox Questions

I am a bit hooked on the sandbox mode at the moment (my husband would say it is because I have no concept of money....) but am a bit frustrated because I do not have access to all rides, shops etc and no research to get them.

Is this right or a bug? I only have a choice of half a dozen coaster types. I have noticed that they are different each time you load a sandbox park so wondered if it is just a randomly generated thing or something I can change?

you have to unlock them maybe....

yeh there are a few things not avalible ... such as slides and a few gentle rides
