AAARG I HATE THAT ****** PUNKBUSTER, I GET KICKED FOR NOTHING NOW AFTER EVERY 5 MIN PLAYING BF 1942. I GET SICK OF IT.:madred: :sour:

ok maybe someone can help, i get all kind of errors but mainly this one. i hope someone can help cause a new dcx release is comming tomorrow and i have waited for over 5 months for it and it would seriously be ****ed up if i now cant play it.

wel I had this prob just compleetly remove it from your hdd (oncluding registry)

the error is coust by an eligal atempt to acces the server and thats burned in your regestry just delete all the reg_key values for BF1942 and reinstal it

i see there was a nem w patch for bf 1942, EA still makes patches for this old game o_O.
anyway i downloaded it, installed it, and i can play everything fine now. had a good blast this afternoon with hardwire, kicked his *** really good:tonguegre

anyway, punkbuster is STOOPID!
it kicked me off my own server because i accidently shot a teammate that walked in front of me...

so with me kicked, the whole server was shut down, kicking everyone...

In CoD you can get kicked for not running a server with the latest patch installed...even if you (and everyone else) don't want to download the patch because the first release is full of bugs.:rolleyesa

any way, i think one taunt applies to tenny more than anyone else...

The Punkbuster error in the first post happens when you're running a different version of Punkbuster to the server.

As a rule of thumb (not to mention that its just common god damn sense) always keep your games patched up to date as well as things like Punkbuster, CheatingDeath, etc.

If you are running a server and you get kicked off for shooting a team-mate, then you need to change your Punkbuster config to allow friendly fire. If you dont know how, turn Punkbuster off.

ok, but there was some weird **** about the patch, no1 knows what it fix and stuff, very secret:lightbulb

and if you turn PB of you cant join PB servers and then you have to join servers full of cheaters and hackers. and beleve me that sucks:tdown:
