As some of you may know if you read my post last night, i did not own RCT3 and was curious. I decided to buy it last night from tesco on my way home. It installed easily and because i have a good computer i can but the settings on very high. I do have a few problems with the game though.

1. It is very cartoony
2. Its quite hard to get the hang of
3. I want to make my own parks, decide how big they are, what sort of terrain they have, how much money i have etc etc, so ive tried to use sandbox mode, but it just comes up with the load window. What am i suppose to load?? Why cant i just create my own? Can someone please tell me how i can do this, because i am getting really annoyed.
4. The camera spins really fast at the slightest move aswell.

I do think the graphics are good, and the game is def better, and more playable than the sims (by the way, whoever moaned about the sims in the last post.....you either love it or hate it, you have to have an imagination to play the sims :rolleyesa and i am also 17 and a secretary, you consider me a little girl?)

Over all, i think the game is good, its going to take more than an hour of me playing though to get me hooked on it how i was hooked on RCT1 and RCT2. If some one could tell me how to create my own parks, EXACTLY how i want them, with the money i choose i would be so grateful.

Thank you :D

when you start a sandbos mode it gives you 2 options ( if i remember not sat infornt of it atm ) one icon is a folder to load previously saved games, i think the other looks like a postcard. click that to start a new sandbox.

the above may be completely wrong, but i think that is how you start a new sandbox.

the other way you can be a bit more specific about your park is to design your own scenario. You then have the option to change the way the peeps are generated, the number of rides and attractions you have available, financial stuff etc.

when i first got RCT1 all them yrs ago didn't know what to do, believe me when you get the hang of any RCT game, they become more addictive than the sims.

I would agree with eddie on this in that all 'decent' games take a little time to master - Frontier knew RCT3 was a little more different and included the tutorials, a manual, and a very comprehensive FAQ that we refer to on this board on a regular basis.
Additionaly the scenarios are more than just another way to play the game - they give examples and ideas of what the game limits are.

If you managed the scenario editor on RCT2 - I would be surprised if you are having problems with rct3.

Best way to learn is to play with everything - save and try other things - park size can be set in the scenario editor (along with everything else) saved as a park and loaded in sandbox or played as a custom scenario, (if you want money) A sandbox is a toy - no restrictions no money etc., not a freeform map like ZT.

You could always start a thread on this - especially if it is constructivly comparing the two games - I haven't got it and won't buy it (for now) after what M$ did to fans on the complete edition of ZT1 (IMO was very wrong)

But I would be interested to see what people think and how it compares - this is the closest game to RCT - IMO in style and glameplay.
