HI all. I got the game for Christmas, and I do think it is really excellent. However the breakdowns are a tad annoying. Anyway, the main problem with an otherwise excellent game is this bloody rollercoaster I'm trying to build. The entrance is in the rollercoaster. And I try building paths in it. But to no avail. Do you have to be some sort of brilliant architect just to go build paths and queues to the entrance and exit? Or is there a way around it?

dude its not a break down. It places the entrance and exit in the coaster and you have to find a way of getting a path to it. Its damn near impossible. Has nobody managed it?

try changing where the entence and exit are.

also think about where you put your station before you build the ride.

hope this helps

There is no 'trick' to laying paths honest :) - there just must be something you are not doing quite right - which is hard to explain as I don't quite understand why you should be having a problem as long as you have put in the entrance/exit to the platform or ride where a path can be laid

I suggest running the tutorials again especialy the ones regarding terrain and path laying, and basic coaster design - also load up one of the early scenarios (i.e vanilla hills or fright night - as they have prebuilt coasters when you start) and look closely at what they have done - you could also try putting in a pre-made coaster (choose coaster with a few designs by clicking on the folder rather than the coaster name) and using that to practice building paths - even take it to bits (it is still how I learn how a new coaster like the tilt coaster works)

Also do the same with flat rides like the observation tower where you half build the ride then put in the entrance and exit booths - It really isn't hard but the new path laying system just takes a little getting used to. Games like this take a little bit of learning in order to enjoy them at their fullest - (actually so do most, come to think of it even an first person shooter or platform game needs s little time to learn the moves ) but it is worth the bother. Lastly don't forget the manual especially in conjunction with the tutorials - they were written to help old players and new alike.

hope you figure it out soon :)

PS. Patience is a virtue, this is not the busiest board on the planet and most of the old timers are not official Atari bods, they are just game players who 'give' up a little free time to answer what questions they can - if they can, when they have the time. Thier only expertise comes from taking the time to learn and read manuals, forums (like this) and FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)
