When i try to play Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 it comes up with something like Failed to create Direct 3D file.

i dont think this will play the game, as teh minimum is an "ATi radeon 8500".

I have Radeon 7000 and game runs ok (granted lowest setting on graphics and still a bit sticky) but basically fine..... sorry that prob doesn't help but at least you could rule out card? :confused:

in which case i would say make sure you have the latest drivers for your card and direct x 9 (see link in FAQ)

BUT - looking at your available physical memory 74mb - I would say this is way too low to even try run it succesfully for anything but a tiny park on low setting even if you could get it to load. Sorry :(

he has 256 MB though, just most of it was used at the time.

make sure when you run the hame you have as little as possible rinning on your pc. (just have firewall/antivirus.)

also do a spyware/adware check. and scan for viruses (viria?).

Out of interest to others - what did you do? - sometimes one soloution can point others in the right place.

Glad you got it working - sorry about the dig on RAM but because I work on an XP system mainly on GFX/Images etc., I have got a little over cautious where spare RAM is concerened
