hi there
i have just recently brought this game and im dying to actually have a go of it but everytime i play it only stays on for about 10mins and then it throws me out to a blue screen and i have to restart the whole computer as i cant do anything else, when the computer comes back on it sais the system has recovered from a serious error and i send an error report, this then tells me that the problem was caused by a driver device but not which one,so i updated every driver i have and installed the patch and it still happens, someone please tell me what im doing wrong? i took the first copy i brought back to the shop and changed it for a new one and i have tried it in a friends comp but it doesnt work on his either so i really dont know what to do and im literally dying to play this for longer than 10 mins

oh god i dont really know any of that stuff but i know i have one of the latest ati graphics cards and i have updated that and my mother board drivers
ok, open a run box (from the start menu) and type in "dxdiag" (without speech marks).
a window should open, "directx diagnostic tool".
wait for this to collect all the information about your PC (look for the bar in the bottom left), then click the "save all information" button.
save the file, then go to where you saved it and open it up. copy all the information from it and post it here.

I had the same problem as you,
I also have an ATI radeon graphics card, when i ran the game sometimes it would randomly display a blue screen and then restart the system, also sometimes when i closed the game, just as it got onto the windows desktop it would do the same.
Mine wasnt as bad as yours it only did it now and again, but then one time i tried to play it and it crashed everytime i ran the game for about 5 times.
so when my pc restarted i sent an error report and it told me the same that it was a driver problem, so i looked on the internet for new ATI graphics card updates and there was quite a recent update for download.
i downloaded it and installed it, ever since then ive never had another problem with it.
this probably wont help you, but i just thought id let you know
It may be a heat issue......
What settings are you playing at?
Have you tried lowering the high end settings? (Turn off shadows/ reflections and stuff) and then see how it runs......:eekblue:
It wont look as nice, but it is a very CPU and Graphics card hungry game. Many people with top end systems have had their machines brought to their knees by RCT3.
It wont hurt to try.
Let us know how you get on.....
EDIT: Are you playing in 'Sandbox' mode?

yes i am playing in sand box mode, does it make a difference? will it let me play in career mode?
thanks to everyone who is trying to help
Amanda
This was a reply in the US forum, to a very similar problem.....
The specs of my computer are very close to yours. I encountered the same problem you are having. If you are playing in sandbox mode, Just build on approx. one third of the land. Your park should run fine. I have solved the crash problem this way. I just build smaller parks and lots of 'em. And believe me park hopping is a lot of fun!
