Maybe a silly question, but do you have any anti-virus and/or adware protections running?

I had trouble installing the game because my ad aware prog was doing its job and preventing unknown items re-writing files and registry components (resulting in an error) - So I temporarily disabled both, un-installed re-installed and all was fine.

second point - if you have a second cd drive, try installing from there.

it does'nt work. So i try to copy the cd to the hard disk and 1 file can't be copied. setup.inx it's only +/- 200kb so if someone can mail it to me that is great you can mail it to beasthead@rock.com. I hope everything is fine then

I don't think that would work - the copy protection system is liable to prevent it.

Found THIS (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=434997&highlight=Error+Code+5006) post on the US forum - and THIS (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=424920&highlight=Error+Code+5006)

The first point on admin rights is a very valid one WARNING! I would be carefull about the suggestion on re-naming install shield folders and would copy these files to somewhere safe before you try it (just in case they mess up something else - sorry I am not an install shield wizzard)

Care to comment Fluxx?

I'm no expert, but
I'd be very careful about re-naming install shield folders.:confusedb

The user 'mbrookes' works for Frontier, so he should know what hes talking about.

Is it possible to return the game for another copy?

Yes if that is the only possibility i could't try and change it but i don't think the guy in the schop is going to like the story. it could be that the disk has a litle scratch so that only the setup.inx is damaged. on my old pc the disk work's well but 900mhz is just to slow to play the game but there the game is already instaled. so i first want to try with a copy of the setup.inx and for the protection i can just insert the original cd.

You should have no problem swapping like for like, as long as you have the original packaging and receipt - it is only when you try swapping for another game/refund they tend to get shirty.
