ok, open a run box (from the start menu) and type in "dxdiag" (without speech marks).

a window should open, "directx diagnostic tool".

wait for this to collect all the information about your PC (look for the bar in the bottom left), then click the "save all information" button.

save the file, then go to where you saved it and open it up. copy all the information from it and post it here.

:D

After downloading the RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 update this afternoon, I re-tried loading a saved game and it seems they have solved the problem in the patch. The computer no longer reboots and the game loads correctly! I'm going to build a big park now!! Enjoy! :D

Update graphics card drivers
Disable write combining
Lower hardware accellearation
Reboot.

My brother had the same problem with his machine (ATi Radeon 9200, AMD Athlon 2.8GHz, 256MB RAM).

@ saz22

Your graphics card wont run the game.........thats why it you get 'Failed to create etc'

@freedom88

I have a feeling your card is under-spec to run the game. Try dropping all the detail and restarting.

Sorry for the late replies...... :noooo:
