What does the "Block Section" checkbox do on the rollercoaster Operating Mode panel?

If you have put in block brakes and/or lift hills around you ride this allows coasters with more than one train to run safely - i.e. train only runs between the next block section if the way is clear. This was also in RCT2

Can be good on some coasters and allow a more streamlined on/off service - but can also drop the excitement/effect of the ride a little especially if you have it tuned to run well on a complete circuit.

it is a good one to play with in the coaster builder untill you get the idea, and some feel as to when it is good and when you are better without it. (i.e. short time ride runs are not so good but a big woodie with more than one lift hill can ease the turnover of passengers - and even increase the excitement a little (not quite as good as the old drop hold brake but close)

If you use a block break in the middle of your your ride, I always place another block break just before the train enters the station; this allows my train to still run the track as a "full circuit" -

Oh yeah, it also helps to have one more block section than the amount of trains you wish to run on your track. i.e. 3 trains must equal 4 block breaks (sections) this means there should always be one open section in front of your train to allow it to cruise through full circuit. (no stop and go's)-- For this though the block sections should be of roughly equal length/speed.

Play around with this -- AND LOAD THE PATCH for the best block break effect - the retail version block breaks stop your train regardless of if the track ahead is clear.

Thanks both - I think I get it. :) I'll play with the Coaster Builder.
