Hi all,

Does anyone know how to start a new park from nothing? Just start with an empty park and build it from nothing?

I have tried creating a new senario but all it allows me to do is load a new senario whether I click on create or load buttons.

Thanks for any help,

Matt & Beck.

You need to go into sandbox mode. This will give you unlimited money to build to your hearts content. It is on the same menu as career mode and load custom scenario, at the bottom. If you want to have some targets and goals then go into tools and create a custom scenario.
The sandbox is great though because you can let your imagination go wild! :D

And when you've built the park of your dreams post the screenshot on the forum. To take a screenshot press F10 on your keyboard and then the picture will be saved in My Documents\My Pictures\RCT3

Another tip when creating your own new park in Sandbox Mode, is to click on the Pause Button (top left of screen) and also click on the Sun button (to keep yourself in daylight). Also, make sure your New Park is CLOSED, before you start building.

With the Park closed, and the Pause button ON, you can now build your Park, without any interference from Guests trying to enter whilst your building it.

The only person in the park will be the Park Inspector ( but he won't be going anywhere whilst you are in the pause mode.

Start by replacing the short path from the Main Entrance with a path of your choice. (just replace these path tiles for the time being).

Before you start actually putting in more paths and scenery etc, landscape it, using the Terrain Tools. Once you are satisfied with how the terrain looks, you can then start to put in all your paths, rides, shops and any scenery you may wish to add.

Make sure you save your park at regular intervals, or you may loose all you have done so far, if you run out of memory (on low end Ram machines).

REMEMBER:-
After each save, when you load up your park again, DON'T FORGET to click the Pause Button again, before you continue building and make sure your park is still CLOSED, or you will get guests arriving as soon as you continue, besides the calender racing away at the top of the screen. (We are aiming for a new built park from Year 1)

After many hours (or possbly days) work, you should have a decent looking park and, once you are satisfied with it, you can save it (ready to upload and share it with others) or open it to your guests, and play it.

You should now have a well sceneried NEW park with no guests. Before you open your Park, you will notice that you are still in March Year 1 or maybe a bit further on in the year ( if you forgot to click on the Pause Button, before you started building or when you continued after each save).

Before your FINAL SAVE and OPENING, set all the rides and stalls to OPEN and make sure that you have sufficient JANITORS, MECHANICS, SECURITY STAFF & maybe Entertainers, in place before you finally OPEN (otherwise you will get flooded with messages, that there arn't enough staff).

If you want to Upload your Park for others to enjoy, they will have a fully built park from Year 1, to play with (instead of something at Year 8 or 9 with hundreds of guest swarming the place).
It is better to start playing a game, with a newly opened park, than one that has been open for quite a few years.
Happy Park Building.
