The problem: My system initially restarted, when switching off the auto reboot all I get is a blue screen with no text! -first time I've seen this!
Triggering the problem: The problem can be reliably reproduced on my system by either building a new path based ride (rollercoaster, train etc.) or placing a different type of path to that already used in the park when it loads. I think this might be something to do with loading textures?
Game settings: The problem ONLY occurs when the texture quality slider in the game is more than a third along. None of the other options have any effect, including adjusting resolution, bloom, anitaliasing etc.
My system: I would class my system as high end - ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb, AMD 64 3500 Processor, 1GB RAM, Shuttle SN95G5 Case / Motherboard. I have DirectX9c everything else is up to date. Occurs under ATI driver 4.10 and 4.12 (havent tested any others).
The solution: Well this isn't a critical problem as it doesn't stop me playing (although it does look ugly with everything turned up, but textures turned down) and it is spoiling my enjoyment of this amazing game. I think its related to the way textures are loaded. Can anyone think of what might my causing the problem? and hence come up with a solution?
