Would that be the recent-ish sequel or the arcade classic? Either way I guess the answer is yes:p:

What system is Battlezone on? It is sad when people don't know the old games, I agree. What systems do you play on?

There are walkthroughs and also hints and tips on Gamefaqs.com for Battlezone. Give it a try! Sometimes they have decent information.

I haven't tried Asterix on the old PS2 yet, had to work this weekend.

Not yet. I have lit and blown up lots of other barrels, but on this string of them, the game freezes up, every time. My son AJ thinks it is a programming error, but I hope not. I really want to see that mountain blow up!

well i don`t hope so, but if it is you might can go back to the shop and ask an other coppy or you money back.

but first trying it on an other ps2 would be the best:tup:

I don't know if anybody is interested, but there is an Atari originals CD with all the old arcde style Atari games, like Battlezone, Asteroids and Missile Command available for both PC and Xbox. Its pretty cheap too:tup: :)

they've been selling a "classic" package that has an old-style looking controller and you put batteries in, run cables to your vcr or whatever and pow - you're playing battlezone. Plug n play!

I saw one in the Remington outlet last week - I nearly bought it:D Had to buy some rubbish stuff for Aunties and relatives for Christmas instead. I did get a pen that is also an FM radio though, so at least I got SOME fun trash:D

So, I talked to the local game store guy about Asterix freezing up, and he suggested starting a new save file on the memory card; he says the new little PS2s are fine. I tried it, and the game did not freeze: all those barrels blew up! It was cool. But, all they did was reveal a gold laurel at the very end. The mountain stayed just the same.

Much ado about not much, there. But the game is OK after all! YAY!

Warspite, how big is this pen?? That is cool-a radio in a pen. Earphones? Technology today, who'd have thunk it?

Thanks for your help. It is nice to know there are other folks out there who play, too.

Now, I just have to find time to play! We are very busy at work right now.

That is why I looked on this site! I like it.

Everyone I've asked since reading the first post on this thread has said (no lie) "Battlezone! A CLASSIC! Yeah!" Will have to try it.

Have you ever played an arcade game called Pleiades (I am spelling that wrong I think)? I have never seen that for a console, but it was cool, back in the day.
