Another thing I noticed about RTS like this one is that the tanks do no move like they do in other (say WWII RTS) games.
Will the physics be close to the real thing? Again, IMHO, if you spend the time making the game look as good as this one, you would want the movements to be realistic too, I imagine.
no you want the physics to be good for gameplay.

I have never seen good physics ruin gameplay. Just have a tank move like a tank.
sometimes the colisions are bad :lightbulb :lightbulb

I personally like the physics used in DoW and BFME. With setting-specific physics like those, the game would be good. It would be nice if vehicles could crash though ;)

Well it would kick anus if the physics of HL2 could be implimented but thats asking a lot. Although I would like to see how other RTS games are going to compare to Black and White 2, with it's fancy Real Water physic thing. CNC:G had physics flaws when things would just drive right through things at times and at other times they just refuse to move through them, annoying to say the least.

From the video's the tank movements look pretty good.
They indeed look good, it's all adding up to how much power we are gunna need to run the game though, but if everything works out with good physics and so forth I won't mind. I hope they have some good physics for fast scout vehicles, like buggys jumping and so forth.
