View Full Version : On Ride Cameras
I never see them working when i put them on a rollercoaster and you can't charge for them and they don't flash like the did on the previous rct games anyone know if i'm doing anything wrong or is it just made like that?
Just made like that now - they do work sort of - but not like they used to (which I miss) and had me confused for some time (especially the charging for - I used that as a main cash income)
However if you are using custom peeps, it will use the on-ride photo to snap a shot of your peeps and put in you pics file - can get some real gems like that :D
But yes - I do hope they put the flash back in along with the ability to chrge for pics (well just about every theme park in the world does - so why not us?)
Yeah - that was a great tactic! Cheap rides, pricey on-ride photos to cover the defecit and plenty of value awards :)

LOL. remind me not to visit either of your 2 theme parks you're obviously rip-off merchants looking to make a quick buck ;)
wheres i'm looking to give my customers value for money  :tonguegre
Awww well eventually I feel sorry for the poor fools in the park, and lower the amount of ice in my soft drinks slightly, lower the cost of the toilets to 20p a visit, and let them go on the merry-go-round for free.
Oh - and my park maps are always very cheap....
I don't
Take em for every penny - and they should think themselves lucky I let them in in the first place - Guess that is what makes me a tycoon and the rest of you just apprentices <evil grin>
@Gil - this is what makes good Pirates - I am surprised at you giving in to moral high ground.
lol - but seriously - I tend to be pretty ruthless in my scenarios - as it is often hard enough to make a buck as it is - but when building pleasure parks I tend to alter my tactics according to the whim -
Food/Drink as cheap as I can while still making a decent profit. (i.e. normally cheap enough to still get good-value comments)
Free entry parks - charge for loos (10-20p) more for maps - and other bits - standard to high charge for rides
Cheap priced entry parks - (basically what I call a base charge i.e. £5-10) - free map - free loos - v-cheap rides - gentle/kiddy 10p - thrill = 50p coasters £1-2 but tend to up the souvenieer prices a bit - this used to be my biggest money spinner parks - lots of happy peeps - good value awards & good profits
Standard to expensive park entry - free nearly everything apart from souveneers and food/drink - only good if peeps go home.
