Well, I don't know if the developers read this forum or not, but I wan't to say this anyway.

Some of you may remeber the "old days". When Westwood was the "king of the hill" of RTS games(CnC). However... a little something called EA showed up and bought Westwood. After reading around, EA stroke me as a compnay that aimed to make as MUCH money as possible, as FAST as possible. Making a good game seemed to be the LAST of their intentions. And from EA everything went downhill.

Somehow, I today stumbled upon this. (Act Of War)
And from what I have seen, this seems to be VERY promising.

I hope that where Westwood dropped, you can pick up and lead on.

"But hey its just a game!"

Well, its a good game. And I just wanted the developers to know that they are doing a great job.

Im with you there, hopefully AoW will show EA that there's no excuse for such a bland job at an attempt to make a C&C (Generals). Compared to Generals, AoW already seems leagues ahead of replicating the originality and quality of the first C&C and it's not even a C&C!

EALA has a GREAT team and great engines to make games. Shame that they just don't shove all the effort into it.

What I can say is, wow.

Atari is making a definate comeback.

And I'm very pleased that they are!

Actually EA itself has many different sub companies that make the games. The one in vancouver actually makes some pretty good games for consoles. The ones that does computer games though seems to definetily be lazy.

I just hope this game is so successful that EA is forced to make RA3 a great RTS instead of another flashy graphics no substance Generals.

I've played Codename:Panzers and it has a lovely engine. The game isn't to well known, but it's still pretty awesome.

The Sage engine is being replaced by EALA for something better for future RTS games. Generals' engine was nice, I never said it was the best. EALA could've done better with it, however.

And no, I'm not a EALA 'spy'. I'm just outspoken?
