View Full Version : Will Planes be as Stupid as in Generals?
Will Planes be as Stupid as in Generals? Will you be able to control where the planes will enter the screan? Or will it be like generals where the plane (the ones that aren't in the airfield) enters the screan right behind the command center, fly all the way across the map, through enemy defences, and get shot down before the payload is delivered. Also, I hope that you can change your plane's target if the target moves. I hated when I called in an A-10 strike on a few tanks, they move a few inches, and the strike was useless.
yeah, I hope they dont do that, it was kinda annoying doing that, or having the spectre come from the wrong side, fly over all the defenses, then die, but oh well, we should be able to contrl what side they come in on
jey jmurphy it's a RTS game don't forget it... the plane go where you have "clicked"... ANd y good gamer don't do the mistake to bombbar with a10 a group of tank (if the enemi is a good player too...)
The only time I used A10's was before a strike via my main force, whatever it may be, used A10's on the point of fake attack if I found another weak spot or just attacked that point. Either way works but zerging has it's draw backs.

The planes came from the opposing side of the map to the target because of balance, so yes, I HOPE they're as "stupid" as they are in Generals.

maby if they could change the ai for the reguar planes, like in gen when you wanted your raptors to get a base target,they went in a strate line, and you would have to move it first upto the conor of the screen, then to the base, to avoid AA fire...like an auto aito take most safe route to target?? just an idea.

If you micromanaged the planes to do that manually it worked just fine. You could quickly set a waypoint path back to your base after they fired the missiles too.

Personally I like to be in control of all units.
In C&C:G and C&C:G:ZH I was frustrated with the uncontrollable planes.
In real life the commander will divert the units if there is opposition that may jeopardize the aircraft and it's crew. (thus they move out of harms way).
If there are planes like the ones you built at airfields on C&C:G(not the support planes from of the screen) i hope they do so that the planes only shot so many missils required to kill the target. no use to waste all 4 missils at a missilbuggy with red health......an a option so that you can set them to return to base after target is killed or that they atomaticaly make that defend ring at theyr current position so they fire the rest of the missils at something(but they dont return to that point after they'w rearmed).
But i actualy dont hope they have these kind of planes and airfields...was abit silly. :tdown:

anyone of the beta testers can tell me if the aircraft will do some air meunveres.not just fly with any avoiding attemps(to avoid from the AA fire)and it allways bugged me that some blind guy inside the stinger site can kill my f-117 that is flyng relly high.....
