Hello
First congratulations to the developers for a first class programme, this is the RCT that has been awaited for many years. Excellent!
This is my first post so please forgive several questions.
I have explored the game for while to make sure there is not any easy answer before asking, so here goes…

Should the Employee numbers reset when you start a new park? When I hire new staff members they follow on from the previous parks numbering system, ie: Mechanic 8, instead of Mechanic 1

Is building underground possible?

Does the firework display cost £191 each time that the show happens, or is it a one off £191 payment? If it is that expensive is there an advantage to having a show in the park?

I would like to import the files used for background music & rides, from the original RCT, but can’t seem to find the files on the original disk or in the programme folder are they available for use.

Is there a reason that the rollercoaster’s price tags show £2500 for a ride to be created, but cost £6500 for a pre built ride in the folders?

Can you raise the terrain in sandbox mode?

Thanks for any info on the above.

Cheers Richard.

Employee no's - yes they should but because system/game cache does not always totally clear - it takes it from the last one created. i think this is just a basic safeguard, but there is nothing to stop you re-naming all your janitors Bob1 if you want to :D

Underground - no you can't - Frontier didn't have time to get it right for this release - but will try to include it for expansions (quite a complex processin 3d as you have to be able to render underground faces/polygons/ai routines etc., i.e. a lot more complex than it was in RCT1&2)
There are various workarounds - and you can still carve holes and then build over or around it with scenery - it just takes a little more imagination and skill :) Check a few others parks out and you will see some interesting ideas.

Fireworks - yes it does - yes it is expensive (but then big firework displays are) advantages? Peeps like them - its a way to show off and play with gunpowder without getting burnt :D

music from rct1&2 it can be done (need to copy/rename and convert various files as RCt files were .wav (renamed to something else) - if you wantr to know more suggest you search the US forum as some people there did it

Roller coaster cost is how much you could build that style of coaster from (it wouldn't be a very good one though) whereas cost of premade is how much it really costs (less modifications for land hieght allowance)
The price guide in tags is just there as a hint as to proportionate cost of each style of coaster (including running costs i.e. a basic junior coaster is a lot cheaper to build/run than say a Hypercoaster)

Yes

no problem
