Game Websites..

[Tsunami_UK]

This is a plea really, after navigating my way here from the act of war site. This game looks interesting, but unfortantly the website is terrible. Is there an HMTL version of this website, one where stuff isnt constantly going on, sounds, things flying about, etc?.
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 was similar, I noticed there were a lot of UK users on the USA forums for this game simply becuase the US website was easier to navigate (less flash, more HTML). Why are we not given a choice in the UK? flash or html?
Please if you must use flash back it up with a decent (easy to navigate and read) static HTML site. Flash is not THAT great, and it is no substitute for a decent website.

Oh just noticed you do have an html version... right here (http://www.uk.atari.com//?pg=game_detail&productID=165) infact. Maybe a link from the flashy version to this page wouldnt go a miss?

I'd have to agree, even on a 1Mbit/s connection, flash sites are still slower, and a damn sight less easy to use.

I suspect the reason behind the prevelance of them is that they're relatively easy to construct compared to a decent HTML based one.
