I was very pleased with how development of this game was going untill i found that they use gamespy for internet >:-E.

Dunno how about you but i have sworn not to buy games that use gamespy for multiplayer. I dont want to go into bashing gamespy but thats the reasons why games die, especially if you buy games for multiplayer you should take into account that game will last for 2 years max before everyone will get sick of laggy buggy lobies and overall rubishness. This is a good reason not to buy these games, maybe it will enforce companies not to make deals with gamespy in the future. I beter spend my time looking for cracks and making it work rather then biting my nails every time something happens to that online pile of **** every minute thinking that i paid money for it. :sour:

:O GameSpy laggy ? Since when cause i didn't noticed?:p I would rather buy a game that has multiplayer serviced by GameSpy not some other company, or even worse by dev firm itself. I still remember Tribes 2 :((

Let's just pretend Gamespy is actually somewhat decent (not the **** fast-food type quality of the gaming world) and that EA was to blame for doing a bad job incorperating the gamespy software into CCG and ZH.

It's kind of shallow that one will not play or buy a game just because of the online multiplayer server.

I'm getting this game no matter what. I don't play online very often anyway.

well,for most games I use THE ALL SEEING EYE.pretty good program.with very advenced filters.and it pickes up lots of servers that most of in-game browesers just can't find....;)

Yeah, Rome - Total War also uses gamespy for multiplayer and it sucks. the multiplayer for Generals was also laggy. I guess Blizzard's Battle.net stays Nr.1 for me...

Act of War is using its own multiplayer engine! gamespy is only used for matchmaking & stats tracking.

LOL you people, gamespy is a 3rd party service used for matchmaking and allowing an interface for players to get together with. The developers write the net code.

Aside from that, I think the single player should be pretty cool.

Well their matchmaking sucks ***. Most of the games dont even have a buddy list. No way to make your own channels. Need to wait **** load of time to play a game with friends since there is no RT. Stat bugs, sucky rankings etc....

GameSpy supports buddy list, it's not their fault that devs are gimps and are not implementing it to games.
I never ever seen any stats bugs. Making own channels = sucks totally, mess, mess and more mess!
Besides of that: just download GameSpy Arcade and all probs are solved.

Many games media has report bout this new games review and preview before they will be release in the gaming market, it's AOW worth to buy actually ? Previously i have bought warcraft 3 and Dawn Of War RTS, and it is very worth play, no doubt.

When you buy the game, go ahead and frekaing make one..its not like theres gona be an inbuilt fucntion that says "Clan making for idiots".
Just add a tag to your name, tell your mates to add the tag, and walla you have a freaking clan.

I hope this would be worth to buy original AOW game...no major disappointment...no flawed...no mofos here, i duwan this to be end up like C&C Generals..i was sucker for that.

Earth 2160 is the main RTS game I've been waiting for besides TA2. This game just appeared out of the blue and looks to be a contender for my time this summer.

nothing wrong with downloadin...as long as its legal..for sintace in my country of LegalEvrythingania, downloading full version games from the internet is not illegal, and so im allowed to, just like the weed smokers can in Amsterdam.
I live in a great country. Kinda like luxamberg really..only with smaller population..much smaller.

I'll buy it, I am sick of playing CnC Gen. So this will be a nice breth of fresh air. I just hope atari emails fourm members a discount off the game, college is ripping me a new @$$hole with costs.

PS: I dont buy EA Games anymore, after what I read they treat their workers like, so.... Atari from now on.

At least not yet. The demo was much too short and didnt give me a good enough impresion of the game. If Atari/Eugen decides to release a longer demo maybe if I like it.
