I would hope that the publishers or eugen would consider posting the exe through Bit Torrent because that would dramatically increase the distribution speed later on.

Yeah, i agree BT would help out much if game won't be hosted by FilePlanet, or if it will it would greatly help people withouth subscribtions.
BUT first they have to, well, RELEASE IT! I just h8 so much when devs don't give a thing about their customers, especially when the game is not too popular and our (board members) opinions might have an impact on game recognition in the future. How? If we will like the demo, we will(or, at least most of us will) probably post some comments on our local/favourite boards, which would mean much more potential customers having this demo in hand.

I found the problem. The site doesnt work properly with firefox, i just tried with IE and it worked. Downloading @ 500kb/s now =D

and then my ****** <(insert favorite colorful expression) telco cut my connection (yes I LOVE the Deutsche Telekom for more reasons than I can name here ) :madred: :madred: I was only pulling with 120 kb/s now I get 80 grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...annoyed is putting it politely

Thats too bad you cant click the demo link with firefox, cuz like I bet least 70% of the users that visit the page use firefox....Going to be alot of unhappy games when they dont know what to do:(

:mad: ok so its over seven hours since demos been out and I STILL have over five hours to go. I am really gonna let my telco have a piece of my mind. But I am getting a little disapointed by what I am reading from all you guys, 700MB for a single mission demo???? (cripes)?????? or is there an option to activate the full game online in there somewhere??????

The full game will be released on DVD only. A DVD can hold up to either 4.25 or 8.5 GB of data. There is no way the full game can fit in less then 700 MB.

The demo is big, yes. However if you compare it to the size of the game it isn't strange that it is this big, at least not to me.
I just use good mirrors. I let my computer on to download during the night, my download manager automaticly shuts it down when the download is finished.

690 MB taking 12 hours is only 130 kbit / 16 kbyte a second. That is pretty slow indeed. I get little over 400 kbit / 50 kbyte a second. That's normal on a connection that can do 512 kbit / 64 kbyte a second in theory.
