Running the demo with a no Media Player WinXP

Hello,

I've downloaded the demo, but I can't run it.

Problem : I have a WinXP pro version without Media Player (the new european version after the court decision). Here's the exact error message (in french) :

"Cette version de Windows Media Technologies n'est pas compatible avec cette version de Windows. Pour plus d'informations, reportez-vous au site Web de Microsoft."

Any solution ?

I dont think it has to do with windows meida player. The videos are bik I belive, Donno what to say, besides a reinstall and reboot. Do you by chance have SP2?

I have SP2.

Doesn't work after reinstall/reboot. I didn't wrote it in the first message, but when I lauch "wmfdist.exe", the same message appear.

Yep SP2 is buggggy, see if you can uninstall it. I never got SP2 because it mess's over half the games I play.

Try installing Windows Media Format Series 9 Runtime by double-clicking the file "wmfdist.exe" in the root folder of the game.

This is not an application, just a set of codecs, install should take around 1.5 seconds.
