hi everyone, we've used this IRC channel during AoW Beta for discussion and match making... however now that the beta ended there is no reason keeping the channel private, so you are all invited to join us...

Server : wolf.uplinkcorp.net (6667)
Channel : #Actofwar

incase some of you would have a trouble gettin here heres a little tutorial (credits go to Bowarcher for this one)

Step 1. Go to http://mirc.com

2. Click 'Download Mirc'

3. Select the mirror nearest to you.

4. Download and install Mirc. (Detailed instructions at http://mirc.com/install.html)

5. Once Mirc is installed, start the program and select 'File' and then 'Options'.

6. Click 'Connect'. Now choose a nickname that you will use on IRC.

7. Expand the 'Connect' tab. Now click 'Servers', and then 'Add'.

8. In the Description Box, type whatever you want although 'Uplink' will do fine. In IRC Server, type "wolf.uplinkcorp.net" without quotes. You shouldn't change the port. (It should already be set to 6667)

9. Click 'Ok'.

10. Click the connect button. (The lightning bolt)

11. After you have connected to the server, type: /j #actofwar

12. You should now be connected to the Act of War channel. Have fun!

don't worry, sometime someone from eugen stops by, just keep in mind they're in GMT+1 timezone

If you have any questions just come there, they will answer it. I have just asked an amount of questions and they didnt dodge it. If nobody responds just do it on another time.

It's best to come in the evening (GMT+1). During the day everyone is working (except students like me :biggringr ) so there's not much chat going on.

It's pretty nice though. :)

there are some trobles uplinkcorp have, so we're on quakenet if you wanna have some chat (irc.quakenet.org), same channel (#actofwar), but its looking like we won't stay long... but come :)

quakenet doesnt use standart nickserv/chanserv.
the original channel was on Quakenet, but we did moved herw and we do like it here.... no reason to move
