But this one is different, because I haven't got a **** graphics card. I get the usual message when I try and play the game (cannot create Direct 3D device... etc).
My graphics card is an MSI ATi Radeon X800 XT 256MB PCI-Express. Any other PC specs you guys need to see I'll post later as I'm another PC at the moment.
So guys, got a solution this time?
Hmmmmmmm, tricky.....
Are your card drivers and Direct X up to date?
Can you post your dxdiag here and we'll have a look......

I knew it wouldnt be that easy........:frownblue
For some reason, the games not seeing your card.
Ok, it seems to me your using the 4.12 drivers for your card (I think:lightbulb )
You could try downloading the 4.10 drivers as these are known good according to the RCT3FAQ....
http://www.frontier.co.uk/games/rct3/faq.html
Remember to uninstall the old(Newer :lightbulb ) drivers completly first, using ATI's tool.
Take the card out of the PC......:eekblue:
Refit the card and install new drivers, turning off any antivirus youve got running beforehand.
Warspites the man for this really, but hes on his way home at the moment.
I'll get him to have a look tomorrow
Silly question, but does RCT3 support PCI-express GPU's (or any game released pre-2005 for that matter)
I'm wanting to upgrade but also willing to wait another 6-8 months for all the "bugs" to be sorted out on PCI-e. i.e. what you are experiencing now – could it becompatibility issues ?!?

Thats what I was thinking. Does the BIOS on your MOBO give you an extra option for Video, i.e "PCI/AGP/PCI-E"? I'm not being funny, but I don't have the money to buy every new card bus in existence!
Is your board set to"Onboard PCI" or "AGP" or some other video setting for Primary Display?
