Hey.

I need some help with the Multidimensional coaster. Actually, I haven’t got a clue how to successfully build one.
Yes, I can build one like a normal coaster, without using that special – tilt type thingy. But then it is just that, a normal coaster.

Oh, and by the way, is the seats in the coaster supposed to face backwards in the station and going up the lift hill, I don’t know the real life ride (x) to know how it is supposed to run.

thats known as an advanced coaster, in other words only extreme coaster builders can truly perform the tilt action correctly... i did test one just on a straight track and i sure did get confused.... so i for one cannot help you... the best way is to keep doing each bit of track and testing it...

sorry thought you meant the multidimentional coaster not the tilt coaster,....

Not played with the multi-dimension coaster yet - (still learning the others) however if the 'tilt thingy' :D is like the one on the tilt coaster - I put mine right after the station -

in which you keep adding the uprights untill you reckon you are high enough to do some fancy vertical/steep track effects
(looks just like a small tower that spaces itself away from your track - looks kinda like it is wrong - but it aint' - think I did mine around 150ft) you then go to say a vertical section and build away -
which still looks odd, but if you put in ghost test (as in construction test ) you should see your train come out the platform to a lift section then rise to the height before being tilted/ready to drop.

If/when you get it right it is a pretty cool coaster - think they have a real one in japan.

If it is like the tilt and your getting stuck - shout and I'll try and find time to paste some shots.

Hi

I did mean the multidimensional coaster. :)

The tilt coaster is actually very easy to build --- build your station, then select 'tilt section' or some such- I think they miss labeled the sections as ‘ lift hill bottom’ is actually the top tilt section and ‘tilt section’ is the pieces you use to build the lift.

NB!! You have to raise your station about two clicks from the ground; otherwise your lift will display red as it cuts into the ground.
- then go UP as high as you want - I suggest not to high as this coaster gets some serious speed (remember that the height of the ride is displayed for the "lift hill” and not the extra track that tilts up – add around another 20 -30 feet) -- which makes it extremely intense. Then put the top or tilt section up.

The multidimensional coaster has this little Clock type 360degree button when laying track pieces.
I figured that it has to do with the rotation of the chairs, but can not get it working, or do not see it working.
And testing is impossible as the coaster is too fast to see what is happening – even on ride it is just a blur.
My imported coasters from RCT2 does not help as they were not made with the tracks of RCT3 in mind.

Real life tilt coaster:

http://www.vekoma.com/rides_thrill_mega/tilt_coaster.htm

RC3 has it slightly wrong - in real life tilt coasters and thrill lift coasters are separate things, but in game a thrill lift is just part of a tilt coaster.

IRL: Tilt Coasters rise up a lift hill, and then tilt over at the top. There is a tilt coaster called Gravity Max at Discovery World, Taiwan (Pictures: http://www.rcdb.com/ig1357.htm)

The Thril Lift coaster is pretty much the same as the tilt coaster in the game, with the train proceeding off the station to be raised up and tilted onto the track. As far as I can see, this is still a prototype design, with no examples out there in the wild.

Nice,
I would then really also like to have the REAL tilt coaster available.

Interesting though how RTC3 has got the naming wrong on what is already quite a unique coaster. I mean, swapping the names around on two coasters that can not really be compared is slightly more than an oversight.
Very few peeps will know the difference but when someone enlightens us like good ol’ Gill here did, then it does not look as good anymore. How much homework did they do?

Back on topic: ;) (not necessarily – but I still need assistance)
Has anybody successfully been able to build a multidimensional coaster – and used the chair rotation feature?
