View Full Version : Problems, ppl dont get ON my ride
Hi all,
Maybe it has been asked before, so please don't get mad at me, I just haven't found an answer yet...
I have just started the game, 2 days now, it looks quite good. Tho the user interface is not so handy to me...
This is the prob:
I built a coaser, tested and all. Layed paths. Opened the ride and it works fine. But after a little while, as people continue getting in the waiting line, no one goes ON the ride. So the line gets longer and longer, and it doesn't get solved until I save and load my game.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong?
(i have not yet updated my fresh copy)

You answered it in the last line - you need update 2.
There was a ghost bug in release version where a peep would leave the queue but the ride considered them still there - only quick soloution was to close/open the ride.

there are many difficulties with this game but i think it's to slow made andi am not the one with patient, silkius did you have any problems already with this game?

Inititally yes - but mainly (in reality) to my initial inability to realise this is not RCT 1 or 2 - and it needs some serious re-thinking on how to play
Peeps are a timy bit more intelligent OK they can't do quantum physics, but it does make them respond to personal needs more - i.e. if they are hungry/thirsty etc., they will not necessarily ride your rides, niether will they go on extreme rides if they are woosses or tame rides if they are nutts.
Also stalls MUST be available before they all get starving, otherwise you tend to get a large group of peeps you all want food/drink now and not enough stalls to serve them all - which can create a downward spiral that is hard to get out of.
It was actually possible to build parks that worked prior the updates, but it was quite hard to get it right - now due to popular demand they have slackened it all off to the point it is actually very easy to complete any scenario in minutes rather than hours (if you want) & IMO 'almost' too easy - however, with a built in scenario editor you can build em how you want.
And yes it does require patience (but then surely that is the point of any tycoon/strategy game? :D ) although with a sandbox (no money worries) even that can be skipped to a large degree (still need to keep your peeps happy though)

Now I found another little problem but I'm not sure if its a glitch in the game or just a feature wich isn't implemented.
In RCT 2 you were able to make a block-sectioned coaster with 2 stations. If you had only an Entrance on the first and only an exit on the other station they would operate that way. Peeps get on, on the first station, and get off on the other. Using this gave me a great advantage on the qeueing time and cashflow.
I tried it in RCT 3 but it didn't work, because it says both stations need an entrance AND an exit. :mad:
Now my plans don't work :(
Is it something I did wrong, or is it just someting the producers forgot to add to the game?

Its quite silly to forget such a thing especially because we can import our RCT2 coasters, and almost every one I built is made this way.
But if its in the next upgrade, I'll be happy with that.
