View Full Version : Loading Saved Careers back in !!
 Hi .... Just had computer re-built and now want to restore my saved career into the computer, my husband saved files and shared them back, but i am totally clueless as how to restore them..... was 97% complete too !! Any hunks got the brains to satisfy me ..... please...:rolleyesa
Got the whole atari directory, loads of mb, and RCT3 directory, Have we saved the right files to copy back to my computer !!
ok, what OS u using? if its XP like me, it saves them into "My Documents\RCT3\Campaigns\" , also accessable from "C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\RCT3\Campaigns\", its put mine into sub directories of campaigns called "Campaign 0000/0001/0002" etc, so try putting them into there
if its other than Win XP, should work the same way, "C:\My Documents\RCT3\Campaigns\" etc. if uve put them into their correctly, it should pick them up next time u run the game.
hope this helps :) if not, post again
You shouldn't need the atari directory - that is just the game itself - so with complete re-install + updates that should be fine.
The files you want are the ones that came out of your documents folder - (probably the RCT3 one you mentioned) in that should be a folder called campaigns which holds your careeer profiles. THe other folders hold any other saves you have personally made (i.e. tracks, parks rides etc.,)
So basically a fresh install (+ update) and then the folder mentioned copied back into your document folder (you should see one in there anyway if you have re-installed the game) should have your career profile back how it was - thus you do not need to replay all of them and thus you can do some housework for a change :D
PS: your appeals to our vanity will not work - asking nicley, bags of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans or cheques (of the non-rubber variety) will :D
