I bought the game yesteday but it doesn't work!
When i launch it from the desktop , i have "Act of war has got a problem and must close"
I don't think it's my config:
WinXP
Pentium 4 (3.1 GHz)
512MB
Geforce Ti 4200 with AGP8

Please help me!

I'm having exactly the same problem dude. I have Athlon XP 2.8, Ge Force Fx5200, 512 Ram and 16x DVD. Every time I try to launce it, it comes up with the error message "Act of War has encountered a problem and needs to close". I have tried everything on the forum but nothing works. I have sent the launch analysis thing to Atari so I'll wait and see what happens. Wish I could be more help really...:frownblue

I phoned 3 times the technical assistance but my problem is still here!

I fixed mine, with no help from them. I uninstalled Service Pack 2. Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Software and find Windows Service Pack 2. It took a while and the system went a bit peculiar after reboot. I had McAffee Securty centre on and I had to go into safe mode to uninstal it, but after that it worked fine, and now Act of War is working. Thinking about it, SP2 was more trouble than it was worth anyway. Give it a try...
