Reboot while loading Map (Campaign)

Well, i've successfully installed the game... n1 ;)
I also can start the game... n1 ;)
But after starting a new Campaign or loading a level or something, the game reboots my PC while the loading bar (those small dots at the bottom) reach nearly 60-80%... any suggestions?


My PC:
Mobo: ASUS P4B-266SE
CPU: Intel P4 2400Mhz
Graphic: NVIDIA 5950 Ultra
Sound: Audigy 2
RAM: 768 MB DDR

I remember that i had exactly this problem as well when i tried to play the demo some time ago....

Ok, i've tested the skirmish-battle now, either, and well, the loading-mark reaches 100% and then it reboots. WTF is wrong with it?!?

PS: Ah yes, my operating System is Windows XP Home.

Is it a full reboot, or a crash to dektop, or does it just hang and YOU have to reboot?

It IS a full reboot - thats whats shocking me...
Loading.... Loading.... Loading.... 100% - nothing - REBOOT. Without doing anything but watching. :(

May it be that my Hardware is to worse for it, or just my board or Bios?

OK, i think i got it work -.-"

I put the resolution on 800x600 (before 1024x768), all details on LOW (before HIGH) and the Sound Options on STEREO (before: 3D)...

I'm going to test it some more after school ( :P ) to find the real reason.

exact same with me mate, good to know im not the only one.

however, i have got it working once, played one game, went on holiday,
came home wanting to play, and yup, it's doing the same again and again.

i have tried everything i have found in the forum, and emailed atari,
the reply was a generic trouble shooting email,
almost as if they didn't even bother reading my orriginal m@ily.
