Error Message - what does it mean?

I often get following error meassage after a time of playing:



I donnot know what it comes from, but it happens randomly and than I'm back to desktop... when I play online, it always appear to happen, when I'm winning :D :D

Sometimes it happens, that I have a ctd without an error measage!

I have following system:

cpu: AMD 2800+

MB: VIA VT8377 Apollo KT600 (GA-7VT600-P)

Ram: 1536MB DDR SDRAM (400MHz)

You forgot to mention if you installed patch 2 ... It can be a hardware or a driver problem, but I suspect that it is the game. I do get a similar message once in a while (when doing a reload with F10).

I see that you have three memory modules installed on your board. May I ask if you suspect your memory configuration to be a possible source for this?

Na, I donnot think its the memory.... all 3 modules are totally the same and all are not noname... everywhere else they work fine... thats why i donnot know why this happens.... and like i said... it happens randomly!

But for sure, its not a memory problem... otherwise i would have it in other games like BfME too....

I have all patches installed, otherwise i couldn't play online ;)

and i donnot overclock anything of my system... so everything runs on normal!

well it just means that the game has just crashed and will be closed, nothing harmful for your computer (it doesn't say it will blow up in ten seconds)

can you tell precisely what you were doing at the moment it crashed? usually t means that you did something that the game didn't like, and if you do it again then it does the same error.

i had this error message

all i done was uninstall the game, goto the atari folder that was left and delete it, reinstall without patching and mine works fine

I had the same problem after pathcing. I'm going to reinstall the game now wihtout the patch to see if it fixes it!

EDIT: Ok this error does not appear until after I have patched the game. Once patched, it appears within about 5 minutes. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, the game WILL crash even if I am in the menus.
