View Full Version : ATI Catalyst 5.5 out - no more word of Act of War :-(

The latest release of the ATI driver is out and where there was previously a known issue listed with Act of War, there is now no more word of it. Looks like the problem has moved back to the game's side, but see for yourself. I am still downloading to driver ...

Like everytime, I'm waiting for the Omega Driver (http://www.omegadrivers.net/) to come out, based on the Catalyst 5.5 which seems much better to me. :rolleyes:

the ati antialiasing bug has been corrected : )

you can now use AntiAliasing with large cursors

And is there also a noticeable performance gain in act of War by using the Catalyst 5.5 driver?

Hmmm, well, doesn't work for me :(

X800Pro + 5.5
WinXP SP2 - Fresh install (brand new HD inside)

I still have the "flickering" with large cursors : 1024x768 w/ 4xFSAA (tried different res/settings).

BTW, it looks like i managed to solve the texture corruption issue by disabling "APG Read" in the ATI SMARTGART Control Panel ("AGP Write" was already disabled). A few more missions and i'll know if it's truly gone :D
