No Background Graphics

I have just purchased this game and overcame the NO CD problem with your help. However on playing the game I have no background graphics only a white screen, any ideas?

I have a Toshiba Laptop Pentium M 1.8Ghz, 512 RAm 128 Nvidia Graphics Card.
